INTERHOUSE ONLINE YOGA COMPETITION
“When you feel physically vital, emotionally stable, and psychologically centered, your ability and desire to love and express authentic compassion expand.”
Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning a “union of the body and mind.” It combines the physical postures or asanas with the mental consciousness and the spiritual connection with universal consciousness.
Yoga has many physical benefits across all ages. Some of the benefits include relaxation, increasing flexibility and strength, lowering blood pressure, and toning muscles. This practice has also been shown to alleviate physical pain and boost cardiac and mental health.
The students of K.R Mangalam World School Faridabad participated with vigour in the first online Inter House Yoga Competition, held on May 1,2020 under the mentorship of Ms. Ekta Pannu, our physical instructor. The event was adjudged by Ms. Ritika Deshwal, a noted yoga instructor who appreciated the efforts of the school for propogating the culture of physical fitness even during the current times.
