SPECIAL ASSEMBLY REPORT
Ruby House – Diwali
25-10-2019

“The greatest significance of Diwali is to light up new, bright and colourful dreams, fresh hopes and undiscovered ways.”

The exhilaration and celebratory spirit that Diwali brings is paramount for every Indian. To add to the festive fervour, students of K.R. MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL presented a special assembly on Diwali on 25th October’19. The program began with a soulful prayer service, invoking God’s blessings followed by Gayatri mantra, pledge, thought and news. Obeisance to Lord Ganesh was paid  through a dance recital  .An inspiring skit was also dramatised showcasing the Green Diwali celebration. The students sang a devotional song devoted to Lord Rama. The primary section enacted a  skit in which they dressed up as various characters from the Ramayan A  poem was also recited to emphasize on the need to celebrate a peaceful and green Diwali and to save Earth from excessive noise and air pollution. The assembly came to a close with a traditional Diya dance performed on a devotional song dedicated to Lord Ram.  The dance performed in colourful costumes and set against live, foot tapping music, highlighted the festivity and good cheer of the festival. This was followed by an address by Principal Ma’am, Ms. Manmit Behel Sabharwal wherein she emphasized on the importance of observing the festival in its true spirit and urged students to be sensitive to the environment by celebrating a clean and cracker free Diwali.
