K.R Mangalam World School has taken the formidable task of educating & igniting the students’ mind globally ranging from Kindergarten to Senior Secondary Classes. The Pre-Primary works with the ethos of expounding an enchanting world of fun and frolic for the students and lays the unfathomable base for an eternal learning process of life skills and learning.
A kaleidoscopic range of activities like drawing, colouring, cutting, tearing, pasting, clay work, music and singing, dance and story-telling are introduced to hone the hidden talents of the students through the play-way method using KPL Kits and JodoGyan to enhance their fine and gross motor skills.
Underlying every learning topic is a concept-base which encourages children to see the connections between different subject areas. We believe that storytelling, plays, learning musical instruments, dance and drama are as important for learning as science, mathematics and social science. In the week’s timetable, therefore, each area finds a place for itself.
The naturally curious minds are exposed to conditions that can evoke freedom of thought and expression. In pursuit of the same, there are Emotional, Numeracy, Reading and experiment Corners to enhance their learning experience. Language development, concept formation, socio- emotional skills along with fine and gross motor development happen simultaneously through exploration.
Language development happens in pre-primary children by making them listen to various phonetic sounds using Jolly Phonics, letters, songs and music. Mentors at this stage continuously speak and interact with the children through speech, gestures and actions.
Pre-Primary kids have immense energy as they grow up very fast. They are given ample opportunities to run, play, jump, climb, hop and crawl which eventually develops the bigger muscles in the body especially the limbs. Suitable toys and apparatus are provided in the activity areas which help the children to build muscle control, balance and dexterity.
Our primary curriculum stresses strongly on the conceptual learning of the subjects, as here the skills the students developed in the early years come into action.
Each year, as they begin their journey to primary classes from standard I to V, they are introduced to a new curriculum in order to provide them with advanced learning. This phase serves as an intermediate phase between the conceptual learning stages to the career building stage.
The development during the primary stage of education empowers the comprehensive abilities enhancing their vision for both personal and academic goals.
Our curriculum is meticulously designed to give students a clear understanding of the topics that have a vital significance throughout their life. We accomplish this through our innovative teaching methods focusing on the application of concepts and creating hands- on experience for students, using learning kits and practical methods
A creative and innovative approach is the basis of the teaching in the primary classes where learning is catered through the hands-on experiences imparted through exposure to myriad activities in both the scholastic as well as co-scholastic areas using Project Based Learning. Relentless dedication is involved to develop the child’s analytical skills, an inquisitive mind and the communication skills with confidence.
Classes I and II follow a well-balanced academic curriculum with English, Hindi, E.V.S., Maths as the core subjects with Computer Science, General Knowledge, Music, Dance, Art & Craft and Physical Education as essential supportsubjects.
Computer Aided Learning through Smart Class and various other activities form an integral part of the teaching learning process.

A period per week is allocated in the Time Table for Value Education and Life skills. To encourage reading habits Library period is provided and Class Library is also maintained.
In classes III, IV and V in the place of Environmental Studies, there is a segregation of Science and Social Science subjects which have been well defined subjects. In class V the third language is introduced. Students have a choice to French/German/ Sanskrit.
The evaluation system is continuous and comprehensive. The academic year is divided into two semesters. There are two cycle tests in each subject one in each semesterand First Semester Examination and Second Semester Examination.
The Middle School curriculum builds on the skills acquired by the students in the primary classes through experiential learning and aims at giving students a deeper learning experience by identifying and supporting each student’s potential and recognizing their strengths.
Our state-of-the-art Computer Labs, Smart Classes, a well-equippedMath Lab, Fine Arts and Science Labs ensure our students are well versed in the latest technology. Aligned to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the academic plan of studies covers all disciplines of learning- English and Hindi as the first and second language , Sanskrit, French and German as third language, social sciences, sciences, mathematics, General Knowledge and Computer Science.
There are two cycle tests in each subject, one in each semester. First Semester Examination and Second Semester Examination are conducted for students of Classes VI-VIII based on CBSE pattern.
We are focused on the growth of each and every child in our school. That is why students are subdivided into smaller groups based on the academic capabilities.
Students with weaker performances in academics are provided with Extra-Remedial Classes and Asset Management beyond school hours by our school teachers which help them to grow more in the subjects they are weak at.
Top-Performing students are put into a separate groups, where they are provided with separate guidance to crack competitive exams like Math,Science, English, Cyber, Commerce, Social Science, Hindi Olympiads, JSTSE, Regional Olympiads and NTSE etc.
At KRM, Secondary Education is backed by scientific learning along with the modern-day teaching pedagogy. Our teaching pedagogy is all about uplifting practical learning, inquisitiveness and thorough conceptual understanding where emphasis is given on PBL.
Important transition takes place during these impressionistic years where the methodology followed is the extension of the momentum gained in the primary classes. Students learn best when they actively participate in the class and they feel valued when teachers encourage them to share their knowledge with their peers. Hence ample opportunities are given to the children to interact with one another through encouraged participation in various intra and inter school activities.
Secondary& Senior Secondary:
The Secondary School curriculum further builds on the skills and knowledge acquired by the students in the earlier classes. Life skills like social skills, thinking skills – critical, creative, decision making and problem solving, emotional skills and attitudes and values are embedded in the curriculum.
K.R Mangalam World School offers all three streams at the Senior Secondary level. Science (medical and non- medical), Commerce and Humanities. A systematic method of student evaluation based on projects and assignments within the framework of CBSE guidelines is followed. The infrastructure consists of a well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Fine Arts and Computer Labs along with a well-stocked library. Students are given a lot of exposure through regular seminars, workshops along with career counselling sessions.
We follow a systematic method of evaluation of our students. Projects & Activity based Worksheets, Internal Assessments are some methods cultivated to assess the student’s progress in the class. The emphasis here is to inculcate in each student an enquiring mind and not merely the acquisition of knowledge.
Periodic Tests, Mid Term and Annual Term examinations are conducted for students of Class IX-XII based on CBSE pattern.
Internal assessments are carried out throughout the term. It comprises of assessing class activities, periodic written assignments and notebooks – class work and home work. The marking/grading is based on the mandate shared by CBSE.
Students are encouraged to participate in a range of extracurricular activities and sports, along with developing all round academic excellence in preparation for entry to professional colleges and universities, both in India and Abroad.
Skilled and gifted children are identified and groomed with extra care so that they may reach levels of excellence. At the same time we take care to follow up with children who need extra care. We provide remedial classes and learning centres for such children.
