TIMELINE OF AUSTRALIAN EXCHANGE PROGRAMME:
In the month of June, 2009, three students of K.R.Mangalam World School, G.K-II and one teacher set off on their exciting journey to Australia to participate in the student exchange program with Woodleigh School, Melbourne, Victoria. At Woodleigh School, the students were given their own individual time-tables with an eclectic mix of classes although they were allowed to attend other classes of their interest too. The students were exposed to a hands-on and interactive way of learning which they really enjoyed. The students were also given the chance to learn about the indigenous people of Australia – the Aborigines .The reciprocal visit was undertaken in December 2009.
In the month of June, 2010, four students of K.R.Mangalam World School, G.K-II, with one teacher visited Australia to participate in the student exchange program with Woodleigh School, Melbourne, Victoria. Apart from attending regular classes the students also visited the Melbourne Aquarium ,the Eureka Tower ,the Melbourne Museum ,Cruising through the Great Ocean Road ,12 Apostles and the beautiful Mckinzie Falls. The reciprocal visit was undertaken in December 2010 followed by sight seeing tours of the most famous , scenic and historic places of Delhi and Agra.
In the month of June, 2011, three students of K.R.Mangalam World School, G.K-II, set off on their exciting journey to Australia to participate in the school’s on-going student exchange program with Woodleigh School, Melbourne, Victoria. The students were exposed to a more hands-on and interactive way of learning which they really enjoyed. The Indian students presented a small cultural item in both the junior as well as the senior campus which was greatly appreciated by one and all. The reciprocal visit was undertaken in December 2010 followed by sight seeing tours of the most famous , scenic and historic places of Delhi and Agra.
