Kick the cup Alphabet Activity
K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II aims to develop knowledge of every student by equipping them with right tools and resources. To reinforce gross motor skills like balance and coordination ‘Kick the cup Alphabet Activity ‘ was conducted in the classroom.
The ball theme alphabet activity is fun way to practice identifying letters while kicking the ball.

But if we use our imagination,our possibilities becomes limitless.

Competitions are a fusion of talent, imagination, creativity and alertness. Whether it is art, music, creative writing or debate, the activities help to bring out the uniqueness of each individual. Keeping up with this thought K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II organised various Inter-House Competitions on 19 July 2019 for the students of the Middle School and Senior School.The Poster Making Competition helped to gauge the students’ creativity and awareness quotient.Students of classes VI to VIII participated in the competition and displayed their artistic skills through an array of posters on the themes ‘World of Books’ or ‘Awareness of Waterborne Diseases’.

Spontaneity and confidence are the hallmark of any competition. An Inter-House Essay Writing Competition was held for the students of classes VI to VIII. In the English category the students were asked to write an essay on anyone of the topics- ‘Books versus E-books’ and ‘Social Media and Bullying’. The Hindi category comprised of the topics ‘PustakonkaMehtav’ and ‘Vigyapanoki Shakti’. The essay was judged on the basis of the student’s content, expression, accuracy and vocabulary. The purpose of the competition was to encourage the students to enhance their thinking and writing skills. The students showcased originality and good command over the languages.

Extempore is one such method which assists the students not only in thinking on their own but also in voicing their creative ideas with precision. To imbibe a true spirit of learning in students and to enhance the communication skills in them, an Inter House Extempore Competition, was held at KR Mangalam world School,G.K – II on 19th July, 2019 during the zero period for classes IX and XI.Jovita(XI-C) of Ruby House emerged as the winner of the competition which was followed by Radhika and Akshay of Emerald and Sapphire Houses bagging the second and the third position respectively.

“Children are likely to live up to what you believe of them”.
Inter- House competitions paves the way for our students to rejuvenate their spirits, remain rooted to the moral values and unleash their vitality.In the month of July 2019,various Inter- House Competitions, held within the school premises.
The well planned competitions were conducted focusing on brushing up students’ talents. Each child was given the opportunity and the platform to display his/her talent and present themselves as individuals. Guided by their mentors,the competitions included creative writing in which Ruby house bagged the first position, another competition titled ‘Poem Recitation (English)’ was also conducted in which Ruby and Topaz house shared the first position. InHindi Poem Recitation, Sapphire house won the first position.
These competition developed a feeling of affiliation and unity among students.

At K.R.Mangalam World School ,G.K II we believe not only in theoretical knowledge but also imparting ample opportunity for practical application. With this thought in mind the students of kG classes were engaged in the science experiment of blowing air into balloons to reinforce the law that air occupies space.It was a fun filled learning experience for them

Beads Stringing Activity for Nursery students

K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II believes in imparting a value system through activities like Peer Education and Team Building Exercises, to help students grow as empowered and enlightened youngsters. Threading beads onto a string involves bilateral coordination of the child’s hand and eyes. This activity helps in developing fine motor skills, visual perception, visual motor and cognitive skills.

VISIT: THE FOOD MART- ‘BIG BAZAAR’
DAY &DATE: FRIDAY, 26 JULY, 2019

The students of Class II of K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K. II, in pursuit of their Project Base Learning Topic- Plants, were taken on an educational excursion to the ‘Big Bazaar. The objective of the visit was to create awareness about different types of plant products and their importance in our daily lives. Excitement could be seen since morning amongst the little ones, as all of them waited eagerly to board the school buses. The students were fascinated by the variety of fruits, vegetables and food items – processed, packaged,fresh and canned etc. They learnt that eating a balanced diet leads to a strong and healthy body. The trip reinforced the importance of healthy eating habits for being a healthy, strong and happy child!

ASSEMBLY OF CLASSES VIII- E AND VIII-F

“Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.”

Keeping up with the theme of ‘Moral Values’, the students of classes VIII- E and VIII- F conducted their assembly on the 24 July 2019. The topic for the assembly was ‘Moral Values’. The assembly commenced with the chanting of the morning prayer. The principal of the school, Dr. Sangeeta Arora, took a pledge along with the students, conveying a message to conserve water and realizing the importance of natural resources.

This was very well conveyed byAryaveer andVandita as they expressed their views on the theme. Arnav Gupta spontaneous overflow of thoughts weaved into words was very well presented, as he recited a self- composed poem on ‘Importance of Moral Values’.Assembly of Classes VIII- E and VIII-F_3

The students of 8Epresented a short skit through which the students highlighted the importance of moral values in one’s life. Keeping up with the theme, the talented singers then presented a song titled ‘Think of love, think of peace’.

The Principal of the school motivated the students with her encouraging words. The assembly culminated with the acknowledgment of the winners who brought laurels to the school. It was indeed a proud moment for the winners as well as the school. The assembly ended with the rendition of the National Anthem.
