INTER-HOUSE DEBATE COMPETITION
An inter-house Debate Competition was held at our school premises on 19th July, 2019. The aim of the competition was to hone public speaking skills of the students and teach them to be articulate while expressing their thoughts and opinions. The speakers of classes IX- XI of all four houses spoke eloquently on the topic Internet vs social life.
The highlight of the event was the question answer round, as a volley of questions were answered confidently by both the sides, inviting counter questions which were aptly answered by witty and vivacious speakers. The session was a kaleidoscope of opinions,thoughts, ideas and perspectives that definitely enhanced the knowledge and understanding of the topic among students.
Saanvi of Topaz house bagged the first position. Ishita of Sapphire house came second and Seher of Emerald house came third.
TREE PLANTATION DRIVE

Nature is God’s most beautiful creation. It felicitates the growth, development and nourishment of all its creatures. As CBSE has included Health and Physical Education as a main stream subject, K.R. Mangalam World School G.K II took the initiative of SEWA to enable the students to enhance their intellectual, social, personal and emotional growth. Under the SEWA initiative, a “TREE PLANTATION DRIVE” was organized in the school on Friday, 26 July 2019 for class XII students. The campaign’s main aim was to direct student’s mind in constructive activities with the positive outcome through the facilitation of contributing to the society.
The students brought various saplings including Ashoka, Neem, Belpatra, Saptparni, Kadamb and Kachnaar. The students participated in the drive enthusiastically and helped each other in planting the saplings. All the saplings were planted in the school ground by students. The students along with the teachers also took an oath to look after the planted saplings, plant more and more trees and encourage others to do the same. Some of the students also shared their experiences and shared their joy with others.
Such little steps taken together by the school and students will surely help in fostering strong mental and social health amongst today’s children so that they connect with their peers, their elders, their community and their environment.
Project Based Learning for Nursery students
‘फ’ से फलों की चाट
Keeping this in mind, an activity of ‘फलों की चाट’ was conducted on Thursday, July 25, 2019, for all the sections of KG classes to reinforce the concept of अक्षर ‘फ’. The students enjoyed making fruit chaat with a variety of fruits, squeezing Lemon and mixing chaat masala.
It was a fun filled learning activity.
Learning about Balanced diet!
Class II students of K.R. Mangalam WorldSchool, G.K. II learnt the importance of a balanced diet via an interesting activity. The students were asked to display their balanced diet on a paper plate divided into three compartments. They pasted pictures of food from all the three food groups in the respective compartment and labelled them as Energy Giving, Body Building & Protective food and thus learnt the importance of eating food from all the 3 food groups.
Project Based Learning for Kindergarten Students
K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K. II believes in dynamic classroom approach in which students acquire a deeper knowledge through active exploration of real-world challenges and problems.In pursuit of the same, the students of Kindergarten enjoyed a fun filled activity of making book marks using different sea shells. This activity is a part of Project Based Learning. The tiny tots were thrilled with the activity and participated enthusiastically.
