Debate is one of the academic activities that give students creative room to express what they feel and hone their communication skills. With the same perspective in view, an Inter- House Debate Competition was organized at K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K- II for students of classes IX and XI on 9 August 2019. The topic of the debate was ‘Can information Technology replace teachers in schools, doctors in hospitals’?Orators from each house debated excellently in favour and against the motion. The contestants were judged in content, expression and fluency. Radhika Sharma and Nikhar Bajaj of Emerald house bagged the first and third position, respectively. NayannKhandelwal of Sapphire house won the second position.
K.R Mangalam world School , G.K-2 believes in celebrating festivals with full enthusiasm and fervour. This helps the students to experience Indian culture and tradition at its best. The students of kindergarten enjoyed a fun filled activity of making and decorating Rakhis and spreading the message of peace and brotherhood.
A sense of Patriotism could be seen at K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II on August 14, 2019 during the unfurling of the tricolor. Brigadier D.P Singh, VSM graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Sh Singh motivated the students to shoulder the responsibilities for making our country proud as our future lies in the hands of our youth. The meritorious students were also felicitated with certificates of scholarship. A nukkad natak and dance performances filled the amphitheater with patriotic fervor. The Principal Dr Sangeeta Arora congratulated the students on the eve of Independence Day.
The students of kindergarten of K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II enjoyed coming dressed as Freedom fighters of India and taking part in the Fancy Dress Competition. They all looked vibrant in their colourful and different costumes and played their parts confidently. The students were given an opportunity to speak infront of others and bring forth their hidden talents.
The little charmers of K.G -A and K.G -B showcased their acting proven through their class assembly held on August 1, 2019. The students came dressed in the traditional dresses of different states. It was a visual treat to see them all dressed up beautifully in costumes of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland , Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura , Assam, Gujarat and Maharashtra. They presented enchanting dances of Gujarat and Maharashtra.
It was a rich learning experience for all the students of Pre- Primary as they learnt about the languages spoken and the culture of these states.

K. R. Mangalam World School, G. K. II believes in educating its students with hands on learning experience. Keeping this in mind, an activity of ‘? ?? ?????’ was conducted on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 for all the sections of KG classes to reinforce the concept of ????? ?. The students enjoyed the stamp activity.

Inter- House competitions pave the way for our students to rejuvenate their spirits, remain rooted to the moral values and unleash their vitality.
On 9 August 2019, various Inter- House Competitions were held within the school premises.
The well planned competitions were conducted focusing on brushing up students’ talents. Each child was given the opportunity and the platform to display his/her talent and present themselves as individuals. The competitions included Duet Singing in which Sapphire house bagged the first position. Another competition titled ‘Declamation’ took place in which Topaz house won the first position.
These competitions developed a feeling of affiliation and unity among students.
Dance is the hidden language of the soul
To spread the message of ‘Patriotism’ and showcase the talents of the students, K.R. Mangalam World School G.K II organized an inter house dance competition on 9 August, 2019.
The theme of the competition was ‘PATROTISM’, where students from all the four houses –Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby and Topaz participated with great enthusiasm. Students wore colorful attires and showed their talents with excellent performances and enthralled the audience with their expressions and moves.
Emerald House performed on the song ‘Kesari’. They showed Indian Army fighting for peace and safety of the country. They conveyed the message of selflessness of a soldier towards his country India. Sapphire House performed on a medley of songs showcasing India’s struggle for freedom with great zeal and enthusiasm. They conveyed the message of harmony and peace. Ruby House performed a dance on the song ‘Rang De Basanti’. They conveyed the feeling of sacrifice of today’s youth towards their country India. Topaz House performed on a medley of songs showcasing the return of a soldier from war and conveyed the message of oneness towards our country.
All the four houses performed wonderfully with great zeal and enthusiasm. The audience enjoyed every moment of the program. The spectators highly complimented the efforts put in by all the four houses. Through dance the children explored their ability to dance. Sapphire and Emerald House won the first position and Ruby House won the second position followed by Topaz bagging the third position.
It was indeed a spectacular show and a memorable one too. Dancing is a wonderful way to introduce young children to the world of music and rhythm. It also provides opportunities for socialization and room for self expression and improves self esteem and self confidence.
