K.R. MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL, G.K.II,organized a workshop on Deworming Awareness Campaign on Friday July 12, 2019, for its Pre-Primary and Primary students, to understand the effectiveness of using Deworming tablets and protecting us from various diseases.

Also a quick share of learning was discussed by Dr.Seema Das as she talked about the relevance of hygiene and cleanliness as the key to good health and healthy mind. The guest also talked about various bacteria and viruses that attack us due to dirty hands and eating dirty, uncovered and roadside food and how we can protect ourselves from diseases.

The workshop was very informative and everyone learnt the “Happy Hands” technique of cleaning your hands in six steps. The Deworming Campaign is scheduled for 8thAugust 2019 in School covering age groups from 1 year to 14 years followed up by round up on 16th August 2019.

Workshop on Brain Gyming for Students and Parents of Class XII

In this era of cut throat competition where marks play an important role to get admissions to good colleges, a school plays an important role in helping students combat stress. In pursuit of the same, K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II, organized a two days workshop on how ‘MARKS help one master your destiny.’ The workshop was conducted by Mr  Gagandeep Arora , the founder Director of Gagan’s Winning Edge Persona Program – an institute which works with Senior Students of Schools and Colleges to guide them to Academic Excellence and Holistic Grooming. Mr Gagandeep is an MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad, and a Gold Medallist Engineer from Delhi College of Engineering. He was an All India CBSE Topper Gold Medallist in 1991, and strongly believes in Value of Academic Results and Marks as much beyond mere numbers or means to an end — and instead as  Defining Hallmark of your ability to Successfully Challenge Missions in your life. The students were given tips on how to memorize by visualizing the matter.

Celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

To commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and to give an impetus to the Swacch Vidyalaya initiative, K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II also joined hands to spread the message of Swachhata by putting slogans on the washroom walls spreading awareness regarding the need to keep toilets clean.

“Dont be a master incase of Disaster”

The students of Classes 8C and 8D conducted the morning assembly on the topic Disaster Management

on Wednesday, 17 July 2019. The assembly was graced by the presence of Principal Dr. Sangeeta Arora and Ms Bharti Mathur. The morning assembly started on a pious note with a prayer followed by a devotional song. Students commenced the assembly by updating the audience with current news, the weather report and the thought for the day. The students enhanced the knowledge of vocabulary both in Hindi and English.

Aryan Singh narrated a beautiful self-composed poem based on disaster management. The students presented a Street Play making the audience aware of the preventive measures needed to be taken during disaster. An awareness was created amongst students about various management techniques, for instance, various  Earthquake and Flood management technique was explained by different ways .

After the play Ms Bharti Mathur mam explained and made the audience aware of the various facilities and equipment available in the school to combat disaster and to minimise its effects.

Later on there was felicitation ceremony in which winners of various competitions  like French Olympaid entry level 2018 for profiency level , GD Goenka western dance held on  24 April 2019, K.R. Mangalam vaishali held on 7 May 2019 “Medley of Kishore” were awarded with trophies and medals for their outstanding performance.

The Assembly culminated with an applaud for the winners who brought laurels to the school. Also the Principal, Dr Sangeeta Arora, motivated the students with her pearls of wisdom.Dont_be_a_master_incase_of_Disaster_1

Inter- House Basketball and Cricket Match

“Sports teaches you character, it teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose-it teaches you about life.”

In this era of cut throat competition, it is of supreme importance to provide opportunities to students to meet the challenges of the future.In pursuit of inculcating the same, various Inter- House matches were organized for the senior school on 13 July 2019 at K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K.II.The Girl students of classes VI-VIII of the four houses of the school competed in an Inter- House Basketball Match against each other wherein Topaz and emerald competed against each other and Topaz emerged victorious and between Sapphire and ruby, Sapphire took over the victory.INTERHOUSE (1)

The girls stepped onto the court to set it ablaze with speed, endurance, magical footwork, dribble and much to the audience-excitement, a nail-biting finish.The match witnessed a lot of close contests with each team jumping and leaping to score baskets. It was a closely fought competition wherein each house put in their best foot forward. Lay-ups were met with intense blocks as the players sweated it out in the courts.INTERHOUSE (3)

Inter- House Cricket Match for boys of classes VI-VIII also took place on the same day. The match witnessed great batting and disciplined bowling while the fielders ran their hearts out to try and secure a win for their respective teams. All the houses played their hearts out in trying to secure glory.The tournament, after fierce competition, ended with Topaz house managing to edge out Emerald house and once again, Sapphire emerged victorious in the match between Sapphire and Ruby.

The students of K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II have been hitting a home run by winning accolades not only in academics but also in sports. In pursuit of the same, Kunal Chhabra of Class XI participated in Barcelona World Roller Games and won the Fourth position. The school wishes Kunal luck for his future games.

The students of class VIII A & VIII B of K.R. Mangalam World School, Gk-2 conducted their online assembly on 9th July 2021 on the topic “Lend Hands To Save Trees- Save Trees and World Population Day. The event was conducted under the guidance of our Middle School Coordinator Ms. Bharti Mathur, Class 8th representative Ms. Subarna Zaman and Class teachers Ms. Khusbhu Choudhary and Ms Sangeeta Sarkar. Students from classes 6-8 attended the assembly along with their class teachers. The assembly was appreciated by all.

The class assembly was hosted by Saanvi and Shagun. The assembly began on an auspicious note with the morning prayer followed by updating the students with Current Affairs by Shatakshi and Vidita, K.R.M news by Andleeb, Word of the week both in English and Hindi by Amaira and Khushi , Weather report by Kanak and Thought of the day by Anshuman. Manya Arora talked about the Importance of World Population Day in her article while the PPT presented by Kashvi and Abia apprised all present about the importance of Forests ,what could lead to the degradation of trees all over the world, and the steps we can take to improve our environment by taking care of our Forests and nature. They also showcased the beautiful work of students in the form of posters made by the students. Yasir presented a melodious song,

Both Bharti Ma’am and Sandeep Sir encouraged the students to take part in the NCC and its benefits in the life of students.

The assembly concluded on a positive note by Bharti Ma’am, who encouraged them to do their part in saving the planet by planting more and more trees.
