Victory at the Clash of Pi

The students of KRM, GKII participated in the renowned competition, Clash of Pi where the country’s most prestigious schools send their top teams to compete in a monthly online mathematics aptitude test. School team members answer the test by logging into their secure online accounts (provided by piCirql). School team points are computed based on a proprietary algorithm that factors in individual team member scores, consistency of performance and difficulty level of questions solved.We feel immense pride in sharing that AarnaBhura of class 6 F- AIR#30, YashSatpathy of class 7 A- AIR#6 and Dishaamalhota of class 9 E- AIR#97 have made it to the hall of fame by receiving great all India ranks.


An interesting and creative salad making activity was conducted for the students of Class 6 at K. R. Mangalam World School, GKII in congruence  with FSSAI on January 30, 2019 . This activity aimed at encouraging  students to eat nutritious healthy  and hygienic food to maintain good  health. The students really enjoyed making healthy dishes and they were very confident and excited to share their recipes with the principal.

The month of January unfurled the patriotic feeling in one and all. The school was a witness to the myriads of activities that was conducted for the juniors as well as the seniors. Various Inter-House Competitions were held to mark the occasion. The competitions were a fusion of talent, imagination, creativity and alertness. Whether it was the melodious solo song and dance instrumental, art, handwriting, creative writing or debate, the activities helped to bring out the uniqueness of each individual. The students of the Senior School set the stage on fire by their powerful performance for the winning title. The students of all the four houses were at their best.Spontaneity and confidence were the hallmark of the competition. The students left everyone awe-struck as they presented their talent so immaculately and effortlessly. They were applauded for their superb performance. Winners were awarded with certificates. The program culminated with vote of thanks and the rendition of the national anthem

Another enriching session of Pariksha pe charcha (an initiative by our prime minister,Sh. Narendra Modi).Students of K.R. MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL, G.K. II took important tips on how to prepare for exams from the session. As the principal was part of the session, she motivated and encouraged the students for the same.

The 70th Republic Day of India was celebrated by the students of Classes VII on 25th January 2019. A special assembly was conducted  to commemorate the occasion. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity.

This was followed by melodious performance by class 3 student who played Sare Jahan de Acha on Casio. The rich culture and diversity of our country was showcased through a melodious patriotic song and Vande Mataram by class 7students which left the audience spellbound.

The students of K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II, participated in an Inter School Singing Competition organised by the Bharat Vikas Parishad in the various districts of the city. The competition included group songs in both Hindi and Sanskrit. The group participated in both the events, singing ‘Tum samay ki ret par’ and ‘Jaya jaya hai’ respectively. Both songs comprised of singers as well as students on the tabla and harmonium. 
After clearing the first round by winning the third position, the choir advanced to the State level.

K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II celebrated its Annual Fiesta ‘Shantipath-The Saga of Life’ on Friday, December 21, 2018. The programme commenced with the inauguration and unveiling of the statue of the noble laureate Shri Rabindra Nath Tagore by the Chief Guest of the day Shri Pranab Mukherjee, hon’ble former President of India, along with the rendition of the national anthem. The school’s NCC contingent marched to the beats of the drum of the inexorable school band as they escorted the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, showcasing the true essence of leadership. The occasion was graced by the benign presence of the Shri Yash Dev Gupta, Chairman, K.R. Mangalam Group of Schools, Shri Jai Dev Gupta, Vice Chairman, K.R. Mangalam Group of Schools, Dr. Dinesh Singh, Chancellor, K.R. Mangalam University, Shri S.L. Bansal, Director, K.R. Mangalam Group of Schools, Members of the Management Committee Educational Advisors, principals of the sister schools and parents.

The endowed chorales set the tone of the event as they presented the musical encomium- a prelude to the magical composition of Ashoka , ‘Tarana’. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and cutting of the cake by the esteemed dignitaries. The talented dancers enthralled the audience with their graceful movements as they performed the ‘Swan Dance’ spreading the message of peace and harmony. The vision, passionate enthusiasm, cooperation and hard work of the principal Dr. Sangeeta Arora culminated to the success of Shantipath- The Saga of Life. Extending a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests, Dr. Sangeeta Arora applauded the earnest efforts made by the students and teachers to make the event a grand success. The report presented by the principal spoke volumes about the school’s endeavours in refining the students to face challenges in every sphere of life and adding more feathers of achievements to their cap.

Next to follow was the much-awaited award ceremony wherein the worthy Chief Guest of the day, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, hon’ble former President of India bestowed the prizes to the most deserving students for their aptitude and acumen. He addressed the gathering with his inspiring words of wisdom and appreciated the hard work of the students to put up such a spell-binding show. He further emphasised on the need to be well-informed with the change in order to become a global citizen. This was followed by the spectacular action-packed theatrical performance of a musical dance drama ‘Shantipath-The Saga of Life’, by the students of the Senior School. It was an endeavour to mirror the hidden talents of children and to spread the message of brotherhood and victory of good over evil. The presentation was a memorable journey into the Ashokan Era. From Dig Vijaya to Dharma Vijaya, the history of Ashoka and Kalinga reverberated on the grounds of K.R. Mangalam G.K-II. Be it the character portrayal, triumph, mesmerising, well-coordinated and chivalric dance performances, the action-packed war scenes or the redemption, each and every moment was so perfectly staged. The vibrant and colourful costumes, stunning props took creativity to its zenith.

The most riveting performance was the grand finale, a confluence of emotions of success, happiness, confidence and strength won unceasing applause from the audience. The grand finale ‘Arise’ indeed was a spectacle to watch.



Decisions are the toughest thing to make especially when it is a choice between where one should be and where one aspires to be. K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K. II remains committed in helping every learner trudge their own path into the threshold of the future. In pursuit of the same, the school organized a workshop on Stream Selection and Career Counseling for the students and parents of Class X, on December 8, 2018. The workshop was conducted by Smriti Dhingra, Tanya Sharma and Saheba Priyadarshni, experts from Cogito Hub Career Testing Platform which empowers Students & Young Professionals. They emphasized on the fact that education is just not the harbinger for sustenance but it is also about pursuing the true essence of one’s life.

The motto of the workshop was to help the students make informed decision. The session covered various facets of career choice and its determining factors such as aptitude and interest, availability of opportunity and inherent potential. Urging the students to believe in their strengths and follow their passion, the resource people also threw light on the various skills required for pursuing a particular career, and how a combination of such skills is essential for success in a field. Further the students were introduced to the various career paths available under the categories Humanities, Science, Commerce, Vocational Skills and new careers based on competitive exams. The principal Dr. Sangeeta Arora also apprised the parents about the subjects offered by the school and answered queries posed by the parents. It was indeed an enriching experience, particularly to those who were still indecisive in deciding their streams and careers.

K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II organised a trip to the Police Station, C.R.Park for the pre school students. The students were given a warm welcome by Inspector who apprised the students of the different ranks in the police department and how they should not fear to report to them if any suspicious thing happens and how and why we should cooperate with them.
