TheGerman Cultural and Literary Fest, ‘Deutsch Jamboree’was organized byK.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II in collaboration with Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhavan, on Friday, July 26, 2019.With over 150 participants from 8 schools of Delhi-NCR, the day was indeed momentous to celebrate.
The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. This was followed by the inaugural dance which was a fascinatingfusion of multiculturalism, beautifully presented by the endowed dancers of the school. In her welcome address the Principal,Dr. Sangeeta Arora,accentuatedupon the school’s role inbroadening empathy, cultural outlook and a holistic vision towards the development of each child. A euphoric rendition, ‘Jetzt Geht Es Los’,was presented by the school’s zestful performers which left the audience enthralled.The dignitaries from Gothe Institute, Max Muller Bhavan, appreciated the efforts of the students and motivatedthem with their words of wisdom.
The guests for the event,Ms. Veronika Tarazinskaja and Ms. Vibhuti Sukhramani,Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi, presided over as honorary judges for the competitions that were organized as a part of the event.
After the formal announcement of the event to be open,students from various schools enthusiastically participated in competitions like LACHEN IST GESUND(a comedy skit), MUSIK MARATHON (song & band) and KOCHEN MACHT SPAβ! (preparing a German dish).
The program, concluded with the much-awaited prize and certificate distribution ceremony wherein the dignitaries felicitated the outstanding achieversfor their commendable performances. K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II bagged the first position and passed on their rolling trophy to DPS, Noidawho secured the second position. The eventful day concluded with the valedictory function in which Ms. Swati Kalra Singh, the Head of German Department, proposed the vote of thanks.The program culminated with the rendition of the national anthem.
