REPORT OF CLASS ASSEMBLY-10E & 10F
“Everything comes to us that belongs to us if we create the capacity to receive it.”
The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence. Celebrating the 159thbirth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, the students of class 10E and 10F conducted their class assembly on 8May 2019. The assembly commenced with the latest news updates, the word of the week and the thought of the day. Shri Rabindranath Tagore dreamt of a heaven of freedom on Earth, thought of failures to be stepping stones towards success and encouraged the people to experiment, innovate and persuaded everyone to always speak the truth. The students of Class 10E and 10F beautifully presented a short skit show-casing glimpses of his life. A feeling of patriotic fervour engulfed the atmosphere as Nitya and Manya of Class 10F recited Tagore’s poem ‘Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high’. This was followed by the students connecting directly with the audience where they shared a few important facts about his life.
‘If there is no response from anyone and no one comes forward to your call, then you proceed alone, move alone, march forward alone’. At the time of a historic juncture of India’s freedom movement Shri Rabindranath Tagore had penned ‘Ekla Cholo Re’. Keeping up with the theme the students of Class 10E and 10F melodiously presented the song of the ‘Bard of Bengal’.The assembly culminated with the rendition of the national anthem.
