K. R Mangalam World School, G. K-2 beli.eves in making the children aware of the different traffic lights and traffic signals to keep them safe. Keeping this in mind, an activity of making “ Traffic Lights” was conducted on Friday, 18th October 2019 by all sections of KG classes. It was a fun filled experience for them. They enjoyed making traffic lights with the help of bangles and red, green, yellow paper.
K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II organised a Folk dance competition for Nursery children on October 17,2019 in which students participated with great enthusiasm. Folk dancing is a beautiful way to introduce our little children to the India’s rich cultural diversity. The stage came alive with the students spectacular dances. The attractive costumes looked very bright and vibrant. The happiness and joy of dancing was clearly reflected on faces of our little ones.

Diwali is the month of joy and festivity. Week long activities were planned for our young ones to make them feel a part of the pious festival. These include the slogan rally in which the Pre-Schoolers of K.R. MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL, GK II participated enthusiastically and walked around the school holding banners and highlighting the messages of clean, peaceful and a cracker free Diwali. This activity made them aware of the adverse effects of bursting crackers on our environment. Students were dressed in colorful Indian attire and decorated the class beautifully with the paper lanterns and diya’s which were made by them. The classrooms were aesthetically decorated with the beautiful creative rangoli made with paint and glitter. Students really enjoyed doing all the creative activities related to Diwali.
INTER- HOUSE FOOTBALL, THROWBALL AND BADMINTON MATCH
The importance of sports encompasses more than just the benefit of physical activity.Participation in sports helps inculcate admirable discipline and a sense of obedience. A student develops a sense of unity and competition. One becomes able to learn that success is possible through cooperative efforts of all the team members. At K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II, we provide opportunities to sow the seed of interest and career building in games.
Inter- House Football, Throwball and Badminton matches were organized on October 12, 2019. The matches were played between the four Houses-Sapphire, Ruby, Topaz and Emerald. The atmosphere was electric with the cheers of the students and the enthusiasm of the participants. Each house put in their best foot forward. The matches were played with immense zeal and fervor by the young and dynamic players. The results of the matches are as follows

INTER- HOUSE COMPETITIONS
The World of imagination is boundless.
Inter- House Competitions paves the way for our students to rejuvenate their spirits, remain rooted to the moral values and unleash their vitality.On 19 October 2019,various Inter- House Competitions were held within the school premises.The well planned competitions were conducted, focusing on brushing up students’ talents. Each child was given the opportunity and the platform to display his/her talent and present themselves as individuals.
Guided by their mentors,the competitions included ‘Slogan Writing’ in which Sapphire house bagged the first position.Another competition titled ‘Poster Making’in which first positionwas won by Topaz houseand ‘Essay Writing’ in which Sapphire house won the first position. These competitions developed a feeling of affiliation and unity among students.
Inter- House Clay Modelling Competition
An Inter House ‘Clay Modelling’ competition was held on 19 October 2019 in the school premises
The students were divided into two categories – Senior and Junior. Total twelve students participated from different houses. The topic for the same was ‘Diya Making’. Students enthusiastically took part in the competition and made many wonderful and creative divas. Ms. Lubna and Ms. Gurpreet Kaur were the esteemed judges for the competition and the judgement was given on the basis of creativity, decoration and finishing.
In the senior category, RAVEESHA KOTHARI, of class XI-F, bagged the first position and RIA, of class IX-B,bagged the second position.In the Junior category, TRISHNA PILLAI of class VIII-A got the first prize, JIA GANDHI of class VIII-E got the second prize and BINEET SINGH of class VI-E got the third prize.
Shaasan- Ek Parivartan
To provide quality education and sustain innovation, concerted efforts from all stake holders are of utmost importance. At K.R. Mangalam World School, we achieve synergy by putting in tremendous effort into exploring innovative learning and teaching practices to enable the students to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. In pursuit of the same, K.R. Mangalam World school, G.K-II organized a PBL based exhibition, Shaasan-Ek Parivartan for classes VIII and IX.This exhibition was aimed at providing the students the hands-on experience of the concepts that they otherwise study in their books. The theme of the exhibition was ‘Forms of Government’.Hundreds of displays dotted several sections of school with participation ranging from each and every student. The students role playing different monarchs, dictators and presidents beckoned visitors to stop by and visit their ‘form of government’.
The solemn ceremony commenced on an auspicious note by invoking the blessings of the invincible Almighty along with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the panel of distinguished guests. The function was presided over by the Chief Guest of the day,Mr. T Pritam Singh, Regional Director of National Council for Teacher Education, Dr. Ashok Arora, Director, KRMCPDE and Mr. G.S Adhikari, the Controller of Examinations.The Principal, Dr. Sangeeta Arora congratulated the students for their laudable feat and encouraged them to keep striving to reach the pinnacle of success.
The Chief Guest, Mr. T Pritam Singhalso congratulated the students for their stupendous performance as he witnessed the energetic and mesmeric conglomeration of innovative models, well-designed movies and beautiful art work.

K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-2 believes in taking care of and respecting community helpers. Keeping this in mind, an activity of ‘card making’ was conducted on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 by all sections of KG classes to thank all the helpers for working so hard and taking good care of all. It was a fun filled learning experience for them. They enjoyed drawing and decorating the card with their vivid imagination.
In K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II we emphasize on giving maximum exposure to the students through play and hands on experience that are very carefully planned to ensure that each child learn by doing.
The students of class Nursery enjoyed many fun filled activities with letter G such as Letter Fishing, Letter Hunt and enjoyed story time related to letter G where they enjoyed alot.
