Debate is one of the academic activities that give students creative room to express what they feel and hone their communication skills. With the same perspective in view, an Inter- House Debate Competition was organized at K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K- II for students of classes IX and XI on 9 August 2019. The topic of the debate was ‘Can information Technology replace teachers in schools, doctors in hospitals’?Orators from each house debated excellently in favour and against the motion. The contestants were judged in content, expression and fluency. Radhika Sharma and Nikhar Bajaj of Emerald house bagged the first and third position, respectively. NayannKhandelwal of Sapphire house won the second position.
K.R Mangalam world School , G.K-2 believes in celebrating festivals with full enthusiasm and fervour. This helps the students to experience Indian culture and tradition at its best. The students of kindergarten enjoyed a fun filled activity of making and decorating Rakhis and spreading the message of peace and brotherhood.
A sense of Patriotism could be seen at K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II on August 14, 2019 during the unfurling of the tricolor. Brigadier D.P Singh, VSM graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Sh Singh motivated the students to shoulder the responsibilities for making our country proud as our future lies in the hands of our youth. The meritorious students were also felicitated with certificates of scholarship. A nukkad natak and dance performances filled the amphitheater with patriotic fervor. The Principal Dr Sangeeta Arora congratulated the students on the eve of Independence Day.
The students of kindergarten of K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II enjoyed coming dressed as Freedom fighters of India and taking part in the Fancy Dress Competition. They all looked vibrant in their colourful and different costumes and played their parts confidently. The students were given an opportunity to speak infront of others and bring forth their hidden talents.
The little charmers of K.G -A and K.G -B showcased their acting proven through their class assembly held on August 1, 2019. The students came dressed in the traditional dresses of different states. It was a visual treat to see them all dressed up beautifully in costumes of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland , Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura , Assam, Gujarat and Maharashtra. They presented enchanting dances of Gujarat and Maharashtra.
It was a rich learning experience for all the students of Pre- Primary as they learnt about the languages spoken and the culture of these states.

K. R. Mangalam World School, G. K. II believes in educating its students with hands on learning experience. Keeping this in mind, an activity of ‘? ?? ?????’ was conducted on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 for all the sections of KG classes to reinforce the concept of ????? ?. The students enjoyed the stamp activity.
K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K. II believes in real learning through projects in which students acquire deeper knowledge with active explorations and real life experiences. The students of class KG enjoyed a fun filled and interesting activity of making table mats. This activity helped in developing their fine motor skills.

FREE HAND DRAWING
Drawing is an important outlet for children who have not yet developed the verbal skills to communicate their feelings. A free hand drawing activity was held on 1st August, 2019 in the respective classrooms. It helped the children to think creatively and develop eye-hand co-ordination.

TheGerman Cultural and Literary Fest, ‘Deutsch Jamboree’was organized byK.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II in collaboration with Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhavan, on Friday, July 26, 2019.With over 150 participants from 8 schools of Delhi-NCR, the day was indeed momentous to celebrate.
The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. This was followed by the inaugural dance which was a fascinatingfusion of multiculturalism, beautifully presented by the endowed dancers of the school. In her welcome address the Principal,Dr. Sangeeta Arora,accentuatedupon the school’s role inbroadening empathy, cultural outlook and a holistic vision towards the development of each child. A euphoric rendition, ‘Jetzt Geht Es Los’,was presented by the school’s zestful performers which left the audience enthralled.The dignitaries from Gothe Institute, Max Muller Bhavan, appreciated the efforts of the students and motivatedthem with their words of wisdom.
The guests for the event,Ms. Veronika Tarazinskaja and Ms. Vibhuti Sukhramani,Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi, presided over as honorary judges for the competitions that were organized as a part of the event.
After the formal announcement of the event to be open,students from various schools enthusiastically participated in competitions like LACHEN IST GESUND(a comedy skit), MUSIK MARATHON (song & band) and KOCHEN MACHT SPAβ! (preparing a German dish).
The program, concluded with the much-awaited prize and certificate distribution ceremony wherein the dignitaries felicitated the outstanding achieversfor their commendable performances. K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II bagged the first position and passed on their rolling trophy to DPS, Noidawho secured the second position. The eventful day concluded with the valedictory function in which Ms. Swati Kalra Singh, the Head of German Department, proposed the vote of thanks.The program culminated with the rendition of the national anthem.
Helping Elders At Home
K.R.Mangalam World school G.k II, believes sensitizing the students and making them into caring and responsible individuals. Keeping this in mind,the students of K.G Classes were involved in the activity of ‘Helping Elders At Home’ on Wednesday, 31st July 2019.They pasted pictures of themselves helping their elders in doing daily chores.They spoke a few lines relating their learning experiences about the same.
