The achievement of one goal becomes the starting point of another and we , at K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II, believe in the same as there is a constant urge in our learners to not only define their limits but also to go beyond it, bringing out their true potential and uniqueness. Keeping up with this thought, the school organized Inter-House Competitions in August, 2020 for the students of the Middle School and Senior School.

1. PAINTING COMPETITION (VI-VIII)

Limitations live only in our minds. But with one’s imagination and creativity, possibilities become limitless. Keeping up with the same the school organized an Inter-House Painting Competition for the students of classes VI-VIII. It was indeed a joyful experience for the students. They enthusiastically participated in the competition by exploring their imagination, enhancing their creative skills in their artistic styles.

2. ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION( IX-XII)

“The pen is mightier than the sword

Writing is a very sensitive form of expression. It is a harmonious blending of ‘thought’ and ‘expression’. It is considered to be the most effective way of communication to express one’s idea, opinion or thoughts in general, unambiguous and impressive languages both in Hindi and English.

Keeping this perspective in mind, an Inter- House EssayWriting Competition was organized both in Hindi and English for the students of classes IX-XII in August 2020. The students were asked to write an essay on the given topic ‘Gandgi Mukt Mera Gaon’.

The essays were collected by the respective judges, Ms. Shraboni Ghosh in English and Ms. Alka Sharma in Hindi.

Inter-house competition

K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II believes in encouraging its students to lead an enriching life by staying active during this difficult time of the COVID-19 outbreak and the school couldn’t be more happier to receive warm support from the students to participate wholeheartedly in the preliminary rounds of Inter-house Virtual Competitions.
Extra-curricular activities form an integral part of the overall personality grooming of any individual. Keeping this in mind, the school will be conducting, its very first-of-its-kind Online Inter-House Competitions for students from classes VI-XII on May 9, 2020. The preliminary round, for selecting the participants, was conducted on May 2, 2020 via a live presentation.

All the four houses, sent URLs to their aspiring participants in advance and asked them to join the selection process. Prelims were conducted in the field of cooking, elocution, recitation, chess, art and many more.

K.R. Mangalam World School, GKII deeply believes in the importance of Play for the emotional, social, cognitive and physical development of children. In pursuit of the same, Recreational Activities have been introduced in the daily curriculum.Simple, easy and fun activities setting the foundation for better learning and development in the young learners. The students of class II participated actively and enthusiasticallyin the fun filled session of warm up exercises and effortless body movements. They were energised and charged up for the entire day!

With the help of the ‘Virtual Classrooms’, the students of Class III enthusiastically participated in various activities to commemorate our benevolent ‘Mother Earth’ On the occasion of the Earth Day, an array of creative activities was organized with a view to motivate children to do their bit towards making their planet even more beautiful. The importance of the Earth Day was discussed and the students took a pledge to preserve and conserve their self-sustaining planet. Constructive activities like ‘Poster Making’, ‘Slogan Writing’ and ‘Show and Tell’ gave the students a platform to showcase their artistic and creative skills. With an aim to spread awareness amongst the young and old alike, students were engaged in all these fun-filled activities.
