Morning assembly undoubtedly holds the numero uno position out of all the routine activities in a school. It aids community participation as well as hones the skills of children on account of healthy competitive spirit between different groups.
Keeping up with the same , the students of class XI F of K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II conducted their first online class assembly on August 14, 2020.The topic of the assembly was ‘Independence Day’ which commenced with the Morning Prayer which is believed to provide peace and serenity to our minds and souls followed by a file video of the flag hoisting ceremony and the address of the Principal. A short and wonderful presentation was shown on the ‘Famous Indian Personalities’ who changed Indian history and society .
The students concluded the assembly by pledging to safeguard our country.
Every success is built on the ability to do better than good enough.
The achievement of one goal becomes the starting point of another and we , at K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II, believe in the same as there is a constant urge in our learners to not only define their limits but also to go beyond it, bringing out their true potential and uniqueness. Keeping up with this thought, the school organized Inter-House Competitions in August, 2020 for the students of the Middle School and Senior School.
1. PAINTING COMPETITION (VI-VIII)
Limitations live only in our minds. But with one’s imagination and creativity, possibilities become limitless. Keeping up with the same the school organized an Inter-House Painting Competition for the students of classes VI-VIII. It was indeed a joyful experience for the students. They enthusiastically participated in the competition by exploring their imagination, enhancing their creative skills in their artistic styles.

2. ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION( IX-XII)
“The pen is mightier than the sword
Writing is a very sensitive form of expression. It is a harmonious blending of ‘thought’ and ‘expression’. It is considered to be the most effective way of communication to express one’s idea, opinion or thoughts in general, unambiguous and impressive languages both in Hindi and English.
Keeping this perspective in mind, an Inter- House EssayWriting Competition was organized both in Hindi and English for the students of classes IX-XII in August 2020. The students were asked to write an essay on the given topic ‘Gandgi Mukt Mera Gaon’.
The essays were collected by the respective judges, Ms. Shraboni Ghosh in English and Ms. Alka Sharma in Hindi.

K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II believes in encouraging its students to lead an enriching life by staying active during this difficult time of the COVID-19 outbreak and the school couldn’t be more happier to receive warm support from the students to participate wholeheartedly in the preliminary rounds of Inter-house Virtual Competitions.
Extra-curricular activities form an integral part of the overall personality grooming of any individual. Keeping this in mind, the school will be conducting, its very first-of-its-kind Online Inter-House Competitions for students from classes VI-XII on May 9, 2020. The preliminary round, for selecting the participants, was conducted on May 2, 2020 via a live presentation.
All the four houses, sent URLs to their aspiring participants in advance and asked them to join the selection process. Prelims were conducted in the field of cooking, elocution, recitation, chess, art and many more.
