Class Nursery students participated in “Number Tower” activity in which colorful blocks with numbers written on them were scattered. Students were encouraged to pick blocks one by one from number 1 to 10 and build a number tower. It was an exciting activity for them as they waited for their turn eagerly to place the number blocks. This activity reinforced sequence counting in children through a play way manner.
“I found I could say things with shapes that I couldn’t say anyway”
Students of class nursery participated in “Shape Box” activity in which students were given boxes full of different shapes. Children created different objects and patterns using shapes.They were fully engrossed in the activity and enjoyed it to the fullest . This activity enhanced their imaginative skills and helped them to experiment with various colourful shapes.

Mangalam World School, G.K-2 believes in celebrating festivals with joy and enthusiasm keeping this in mind the students of Kindergarten enjoyed a fun filled activity of making the ‘Sun’ in various ways to celebrate ‘ Chhath Pooja’ , Bihar’s biggest festival to thank the ‘Sun’ God for bestowing the bounties of life on earth. It is also based on Project Based Learning wherein students learn by doing.

K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II organised a Show n Tell activity on Community Helpers on Friday, 8th November, 2019. The children brought different tools used by helpers and spoke few lines on the duties performed by them. The excitement and curiosity of enacting as their favorite helper was clearly reflected on the faces of our little children. It was a great day with a lot of learning along with spreading awareness about our community helpers.
In K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II we focus on child centered learning through play and creative activities.
All the sections of Nursery class were set up as pet, wild, domestic and aquatic animals rooms. The children enjoyed walking around different rooms and doing fun activities such as solving puzzles, feeding the animals, story narration, etc. It was a fun way of learning with practical application where students participated with great enthusiasm and fervor.
K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II believes in learning by doing. Keeping this in mind students of class Nursery participated in Number 14 activity. They enjoyed doing various activities such as count and write, number beads, fishing activity, etc. Fishing activity is the great way to identify and sort any particular number mixed with other numbers. It is a fun way of learning and understanding.
An inter house Card Making Competition was organized for classes VI-XI in the Computer Lab. The topics for the same were ‘Diwali’. The students participated keenly and made beautiful card by the dint of their creativity.
This activity aimed at exploring and encouraging creativity in children and giving them a platform to showcase their skill. It was wonderful to watch the zealous students giving expression to their thoughts. Each of the cards made by the children was a treat to the eyes. This made the selection process extremely difficult for the Judges.
In junior school, Ruby house bagged the first position followed by Emerald grabbing the second position whereas in senior school, Topaz house won the first position followed by Sapphire house bagging the second position. All the students were seen much enthusiastic. The event was a grand success.
An Inter-House English Declamation Competition was organized for classes IX-XI in the school premises. The topic for the same was ‘Single Use Plastic’. The students participated keenly and expressed their concern emphatically, stressing on the dire need to ban plastic in order to save the earth from choking to death.
The activity aimed at exploring and encouraging public speaking in children and giving them a platform to showcase their skill. It was wonderful to watch the enthusiastic students ardently expressing their thoughts. The first position was bagged by Srishti Singh of XI-E of Emerald House. The second position was secured by Jovita Kaur of XI-C Ruby House and the third position was again grabbed by Khushi Bhasin of XI-E of Emerald House.
The Eco Club students of K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K. II carried out an anti cracker campaign on October 25, 2019 for spreading awareness amongst peers, fellow students , teachers and staff members about the harmful consequences of bursting fire crackers in our daily lives. Students spoke on how our pets, our grand parents , babies are affected by the bursting of crackers. They also explained how the AQI (Air Quality Index) deteriorates by the reckless bursting of crackers.
