Flying Colours Added

K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II aims to equip the students with the skills and competencies required in the 21st century. We endeavour to nurture global citizens who would emerge victorious in all spheres of life. In pursuit of the same, the school participated in the Mohini Virendra Singh Inter School Chess Tournament, 2016-17 held at Modern School on 20 January, 2017 and came out with flying colours by bagging the First Position in Under 9 Category and the Third Position in Under 15 Category. The Principal, Ms Alka Awasthi  emphasised on the stellar role played by school to produce budding sports champions at the International and National levels who would assume societal leadership roles in the future.


g-k-ii-principal-felicitated_1To mark the celebrations of Human Rights Day on 10 December, 2016, the All India Council of Human Rights, Liberties & Social Justice (AICHLS) organized an award ceremony in India Islamic Centre to bestow honours on individuals whose contribution to the understanding of effective leadership has resulted in extraordinary impact, transcending all boundaries. In pursuit of the same, the Principal, Ms Alka Awasthi was being conferred with Exemplary Leadership Award for demonstrating phenomenal personal commitment to her organization and thus enabling the group to fulfill its missions and goals.

For the students of K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II, the function was a leap forward to celebrate Human Rights Day with their performance on ‘Saving the Girl Child’ and ‘Ganesh Vandana’ which received an overwhelming response from all.

No wonder the motto ‘Together Towards Tomorrow’ brings out the creativity and talent present in every spirited member of KRM where together they can take the world by storm.


Another Milestone Reached!!!


Crossing an extra mile to have an edge over others has always been a forte for the enthusiastic students of K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II. The school’s constant endeavor to see its learners’ feat, has yet again added a feather to their cap. The Chess players of K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II have again hit a home run by securing the First Position at Delhi State School Championship -2016 (Under-15). Kudos to Chess Team of KRM!!!!

The Winning Spree of K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II Continues……

K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II believes that Education is not an act of acquiring knowledge but learning a skill and forming one’s personality to lead life. KRM students are bestowed with tremendous potential and the competition tally is the shining example of their dynamic optimism.

The competitive spirit at KRM is going great guns with students emerging victorious by winning the First Position at the Zonal Basketball Tournaments for Senior and Sub Junior Girls Category held at Don Bosco School, Alaknanda from 14 October to 18 October, 2016.

Their winning spree has proved that if we acknowledge the immense power within us, no hurdle, no matter how big, can prevent us from achieving our dreams.



K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II has always believed in broadening the students’ horizons and developing their innate talent and potential by exposing them to myriad activities. The K.R Mangalam flight is always headed towards destination which provides excitement, adventure and interactive learning. The thrill and joy experienced by the learners while on board is reflected by a plethora of activities being organized.

Amidst the fervor of the First Term Examinations, the students of KRM came out with flying colors by winning the ‘Overall Trophy’ for ‘Best Lyrics’ in ITIHAAS, an initiative to promote awareness among students about our heritage and culture.  The competition was held on October 3, 2016 at Little Theatre Group at Copernicus Marg.

The topic chosen was ‘The Kalinga War fought by King Ashoka’ which is an integral and pivotal part of our magnificent history. The song elucidated King Ashoka’s life experiences and strengthened the feeling of kinship among our fraternity.

The Principal Ms Alka Awasthi congratulated the students and emphasized that such competitions infuse the young learners with the essential skills of teamwork and cooperation, and inoculate them with a zest for life.
