च से चूहा

K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-2 believes in encouraging students to learn and apply knowledge and skills through an engaging experience. Keeping this in mind , an activity of च से चाबी and च से चूहा, was conducted on 22nd November,2019 for all sections of KG classes to reinforce the concept of अक्षर च. The  Tiny Tots enjoyed doing spray painting and writing their names on their key chains.

Keeping this in mind, the students of kindergarten enjoyed a fun filled activity on 6th November, 2019 of writing a message for their parents expressing their feelings of love and affection towards them.

Our Golden Sun K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-2 believes in celebrating festivals with joy and enthusiasm keeping this in mind the students of Kindergarten enjoyed a fun filled activity of making the ‘Sun’ in various ways to celebrate ‘ Chhath Pooja’ , Bihar’s biggest festival to thank the ‘Sun’ God for bestowing the bounties of life on earth. It is also based on Project Based Learning wherein students learn by doing.

K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II organised a Show n Tell activity on Community Helpers on Friday, 8th November, 2019. The children brought different tools used by helpers and spoke few lines on the duties performed by them. The excitement and curiosity of enacting as their favorite helper was clearly reflected on the faces of our little children. It was a great day with a lot of learning along with spreading awareness about our community helpers.

The Eco Club students of K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K. II carried out an anti cracker campaign on October 25, 2019 for spreading awareness amongst peers, fellow students , teachers and staff members about the harmful consequences of bursting fire crackers in our daily lives. Students spoke on how our pets, our grand parents , babies are affected by the bursting of crackers. They also explained how the AQI (Air Quality Index) deteriorates by the reckless bursting of crackers.

Traffic Light

K. R Mangalam World School, G. K-2 beli.eves in making the children aware of the different traffic lights and traffic signals to keep them safe. Keeping this in mind, an activity of making “ Traffic Lights” was conducted on Friday, 18th October 2019 by all sections of KG classes. It was a fun filled experience for them. They enjoyed making traffic lights with the help of bangles and red, green, yellow paper.

INTER- HOUSE COMPETITIONS
The World of imagination is boundless.

Inter- House Competitions paves the way for our students to rejuvenate their spirits, remain rooted to the moral values and unleash their vitality.On 19 October 2019,various Inter- House Competitions were held within the school premises.The well planned competitions were conducted, focusing on brushing up students’ talents. Each child was given the opportunity and the platform to display his/her talent and present themselves as individuals.

Guided by their mentors,the competitions included ‘Slogan Writing’ in which Sapphire house bagged the first position.Another competition titled ‘Poster Making’in which first positionwas won by Topaz houseand ‘Essay Writing’ in which Sapphire house won the first position. These competitions developed a feeling of affiliation and unity among students.

The importance of advertisementsin the present times is immense. It is a method that is used to attract people’s attention. It is an important and simple procedure for companies to make themselves known amongst the public. We come across advertisements through certain mediums like newspapers, magazines, billboard, buses, internet, and on the radio, flyers, newsletters or posters.

Students of the four houses were engaged in advertisement making activity. They had a first-hand experience in advertisement not just in making the advertisement but also enacting the same in order to appeal the public.

Inter- House Clay Modelling Competition

An Inter House ‘Clay Modelling’ competition was held on 19 October 2019 in the school premises

The students were divided into two categories – Senior and Junior. Total twelve students participated from different houses. The topic for the same was ‘Diya Making’. Students enthusiastically took part in the competition and made many wonderful and creative divas. Ms. Lubna and Ms. Gurpreet Kaur were the esteemed judges for the competition and the judgement was given on the basis of creativity, decoration and finishing.

In the senior category, RAVEESHA KOTHARI, of class XI-F, bagged the first position and RIA, of class IX-B,bagged the second position.In the Junior category, TRISHNA PILLAI of class VIII-A got the first prize, JIA GANDHI of class VIII-E got the second prize and BINEET SINGH of class VI-E got the third prize.
