ANIMAL TOY TALK- NURSERY

‘The greatness of nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated’. The students of Nursery were introduced to the topic animals by performing an animal talk activity. The children brought their favorite animal soft toy from home and spoke a few lines about it. This activity enhanced learning along with their communication skills and boosted their morale with a lot of fun quotient.

K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-2 believes in celebrating all festivals with pomp and show giving an opportunity for all students to understand the cultural roots of our country. The students of Kindergarten enjoyed a fun filled activity of making Ravana puppets with silver, golden paper and ice cream sticks to celebrate ‘Dussehra’ ,the victory of good over evil.

The victory of Good over Evil

To celebrate the festival of Dussehra, a story narration with puppets was presented by the Nursery teachers. It was followed by a questionnaire round in which the students participated enthusiastically. They also enjoyed making Ravana mask using glitter sheets, bindis, stickers, etc.
The young minds of K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II had a rich learning experience combined with the festival pomp and spirit.

“ Play, learn and grow together “

Students of class Nursery participated in ‘heavy and light’ activity where in they explored different items related to weight and balance.
It was a hands on activity which enabled the students to observe and compare the weight of different objects on the basis of heavy and light.

In K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II , we focus on child centered learning through play and creative activities. Traffic light activity was conducted for the students where they learnt to follow traffic signal colours and ran to reach the finish point.
It was a rich traffic rules learning experience for our young ones.

Show n Tell Activity conducted in Nursery classes is a very important and an exciting part of our curriculum, it’s a great way to work on the communication skills of the children.
This activity isn’t just about giving the children a reason to bring toys to class. Each child’s social, emotional and language skills will grow and develop from this activity as the children learn to use descriptive language practice listening skills and share their special items with others.

Our Little Scientists

K. R Mangalam World School, G.K-2 believes not only in theoretical knowledge but also imparting ample opportunity for practical application of concepts with this thought in mind the students of Kindergarten, were engaged in the science experiment of making waves in a bottle to reinforce the concept that water and oil do not mix together. The children were thrilled and excited to see waves in a bottle. It was a fun filled learning experience for them.

Keeping this in mind , an activity of य से योगा was conducted on Monday, September 16, 2019 for all sections of KG classes to reinforce the concept of अक्षर य This activity is also based on Projest Based Learning “ learning by doing”. The students enjoyed performing different asanas with joy and enthusiasm

Project Based Learning involves teaching through engaging topics that allow the integration of meaningful learning in all content areas while also supporting development across multiple domains.

Students of class Nursery participated in Art and Craft Activity with great zeal and enthusiasm. They decorated cut outs of different aquatic animals with bindis, stickers, paint, glitters, etc.
