Class Activity: Poster making Topic: Save forest and wildlife
A discussion on conservation is forests and wildlife was undertaken in the class.Then the activity of poster making was conducted in the class. The students expressed their ideas in the form of quotations,paintings,sketch etc. All the students participated and performed well.
Class XI : Life and times of the Mesopotamian Civilisation
A pictorial depiction of the life and times of the Mesopotamian Civilisation was done by the History students of Class XI, giving information on the various aspects of this ancient culture.
Class XII: Features of the Indus Valley Civilisation
With the medium of posters, the students of History from Class XII were able to depict the various aspects of the life of the people in the Indus Valley Civilisation.
COMMERCE WEEK (July 15 to July 17, 2019)
During the Commerce Week, students of class XI and XII of the commerce sections were assigned various activities. One was doing up of the class bulletin board on the topic- ‘Ancient Trade Centres of India’. The students showed their enthusiasm by actively participating in this activity. The other activity was ‘Crossword puzzles’ in which a crossword puzzle on the topic- Accounting terms and principles- was given to students. Students enjoyed solving the crossword puzzle..
For class XII, an enriching activity was planned-‘ADPRINT on Consumer Rights’. The students were given the idea of dividing themselves into groups and each group was representing one consumer print. They were given time to prepare the Adprint and present each right in the class. This helped them in making everyone around them aware about their rights as consumers. Students were very excited to perform these activities and it was indeed a good learning experience for all.
The commerce week continued with various activities with the students putting in their full efforts and expressed their interests and creativity in efficient ways.
The third language week was held in the 4thweek of April2019(22 April– 25 April’’19) with 100% participation from Classes V to X. Different activities were organized at each level where students garnered a lot of skill and it was a learning based fun experience for them.
Students of classes V– X participated enthusiastically in various fun based learning activities and came up with their creative talent.
Students of class V participated in I-Card making activity. They confidently introduced themselves in German. They focussed on correct pronunciation and intonation.
Class VIstudents enthusiastically participated in Role Play activity. Students dressed up as various German characters and spoke a few lines about the same.
(20 August 2018 to August 2018) was celebrated at K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II. This week was a wonderful time to enhance and explore the scientific aptitude of our students by participating in different hand-on activities. Every student got the opportunity to expand their knowledge in the field of science and technology.
Young, literature enthusiasts of K.R. Mangalam World School, GK-II, joyfully and with full zeal celebrated ‘ELOQUENCE’, its maiden inter-school literary event which brought to life various characters from literary texts across the gamut of English literature. The theme for this year’s literary competition was ‘Bringing Humour to Life’ and the event witnessed cheerful and active participation from more than 25 leading schools across Delhi and the N.C.R.
The event opened with an interesting twist to the original characters and innovative dialogue delivery bringing alive by Senior School Students with their mystical powers, the famous works of literature into real life, leaving the audience mesmerized and spellbound. As Nelson Mandela said, “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, it goes to his heart”.
In her inaugural address, the Principal, MS. SANGEETA ARORA, brought to the fore the school’s consistent efforts at broadening the students horizons and moulding them as students of a global world. The song “never say never” left the audience foot tapping and singing to the tune.
The three competitive categories ‘Tramedy’ , ‘ Tryst with Shakespeare’ and ‘Hot Pursuit’ brought forth the creativity and imagination of the students. While ‘Tramedy’ and Tryst with Shakespeare required the participants to use their oratory skills to deliver a tragic speech of any character from English Plays in a comic / humorous Bollywood style. ‘Hot Pursuit’ was a vociferous delivery to reinterpret the title of a famous English Play/Poem/Novel in a sensational comic manner. The events conducted were aimed at inculcating positive values within the students and lead to a holistic development of their personalities.
The esteemed panel of judges included eminent persona from Literature Field.
The judges were highly appreciative of the event and commended the plethora of talent that they got to see on one platform. They were extremely effusive about the originality, confidence and creativity on display. The Overall trophy was bagged by DPS, Noida.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by the Senior School Coordinator Ms Ritu Sachdeva who expressed gratitude to the esteemed judges for taking time out of their busy schedule to motivate the students.
The third language week was held in the 2nd week of May 2018 (7 May – 11 May’18) with 100% participation from Classes V to X. Different activities were organized at each level where students garnered a lot of skill and it was a learning based fun experience for them.
(18 December 2017 to 22 December 2017) was celebrated at K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II. This week was a wonderful time to enhance and explore the scientific aptitude of our students by participating in different hand-on activities. Every student got the opportunity to expand their knowledge in the field of science and technology.
COMPUTER WEEK REPORT
K.R. Mangalam World School, GK II, observed Computer Week which culminated with Comp D Affairs on 21 November 2017.The ceremony commenced with the invocation of the Almighty and the ceremonial lighting of the Lamp followed by the welcome address by the Principal, Ms. Alka Awasthi.In her address to the audience, the Principal emphasized on the importance of the effective use of technology in Education. The Chief Guest, Mr. Rakshit Tandon enlightened everyone on the importance of Cyber Security and its advantages.
The week offered multifarious activities to bring out the technical, creative and scholastic skills of the students. The plethora of talent left one and all spellbound. Various events for classes IV to XII were organized like Word-a Ment, Crossword, Quiz, Shout Cast, Web Edge, Pyrama, Cartoon Mania, Photography, Gaming and NOTIFI. There were surfeit activities which were conducted in different classes.‘It was indeed a pleasure to see the students reach out to these ‘technological genius’ and polish their talents to paint a moment of their own imagination in the canvas of their life. The students from classes III-XII were given an opportunity to reveal their bright and creative ideas through Cartoon Mania, Gaming and Photography, Designing webpage and making their own gadgets where they enthralled teachers with their skills. A Facebook page “SWAT” was also designed for the same.
An outstanding platform was provided by KR Mangalam World Schjool, GK II to the students enabling their artistic presentation to come to the fore.

Eloquence 2k17- The Inter School English Literary Event (English Week)
K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II, organized the English literary fiesta ‘Eloquence’, on 28, July 2017.The event which was held for classes II to XII offered multifarious activities to bring out the creative and scholastic skills of the students.
The ceremony commenced with the invocation of the Almighty followed by the welcome address of the Principal, Ms. Alka Awasthi. In her address to the audience, the Principal emphasized on the importance of English language, which grows out of realities of life. The ingenious students from classes II-V were delighted to participate in events like ‘Exhomania’ and ‘Tryst with Shakespeare.’ It was indeed a pleasure to see the young ones reach out to their literary genius’ and polish their talents to paint a moment of their own imagination in the canvas of their life. The students from classes VI-XII were given an opportunity to reveal their bright and creative ideas through ‘Tramedy and Hot Pursuit’ where they mesmerized the gathering with their oratory skills vociferously reinterpreting the titles of famous literary classics in a fiery and sensational manner.
The event saw the participation of more than 27 schools from Delhi and NCR. The esteemed panel of judges included writers and literary gems who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields.
The plethora of talent left one and all spellbound. The commendable performance was highly appreciated. The vote of thanks was delivered by the Senior School Coordinator, Ms. Ritu Sachdeva. The overall trophy was shared by K.R.Mangalam World School, G.K-II and Indraprastha School, Noida.
