At K.R.Mangalam World School, G.K.-II, we always strive to enhance the potential of the students by constantly engaging them in fruitful and productive activities, which encourage them to think outside the box.Keeping this in mind, the Inter-House Mathematical Rangometry Competition was conducted on 22 November 2019 for classes VI-VIII.
The students were asked to get various materials like pulses or anything that they could devise, to make symmetrical designs, thereby giving an idea about their comprehension and understanding of the concepts taught in class. The students were seen actively and enthusiastically engaged in the activity wherein Sapphire House bagged the first position and Emerald House bagged the second position.




Inter- House Competitions paves the way for our students to rejuvenate their spirits, remain rooted to the moral values and unleash their vitality. On 23 November 2019, various Inter- House Competitions were held within the school premises. The well planned competitions were conducted focusing on brushing up students’ talents. Each child was given the opportunity and the platform to display his/her talent and present themselves as individuals.

Guided by their mentors, the competitions included Scientific Game in which Emerald house bagged the first position. INNOVATION and CREATION is the word that best describes their efforts. The students showcased their scientific knowledge as well.





K.R.Mangalam World School, Greater Kailash –II continually strives to balance work with play and make academics fun and interesting for the students. Keeping this noble idea in mind, the Inter-House Model Making Competition was organized on the 22nd of November 2019, for the students of classes VI-VIII, in continuation of the Science and Mathematics week.

Model making was an activity that involved conceptual as well as theoretical knowledge to make learning and retention more profound and strong. The students got an array of material to make their astounding models. This activity brought forth the creativity and artistry of the students and gave them an opportunity to display their talent. The students enjoyed doing this activity wherein Emerald house bagged the first position.



The day of the inter house competition in K R Mangalam World School, GK II , is a day meant to display talent and passion for the students. There were several competitions held on Saturday, 23 November 2019.

One competition that excites the students the most is the non-fire cooking which makes them go into whirls of imagination into fusion and innovation.
Dishes such as Sushi Chinese Bhel and Pineapple Boat and an array of salads were a delectable sight. The judge, Ms. Neha Gautam, was pleasantly surprised to see such a range of talent. The day ended with a learning experience for the students.



Only where children gather is there any real chance of fun.

Each child was given the opportunity and the platform to display his/her talent and present themselves as individuals. The competitions included Duet Singing in which Sapphire house bagged the first position. Another competition titled ‘Declamation’ took place in which Topaz house won the first position.
These competitions developed a feeling of affiliation and unity among students.




Dance is the hidden language of the soul

To spread the message of ‘Patriotism’ and showcase the talents of the students, K.R. Mangalam World School G.K II organized an inter house dance competition on 9 August, 2019.

The theme of the competition was ‘PATROTISM’, where students from all the four houses –Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby and Topaz participated with great enthusiasm. Students wore colorful attires and showed their talents with excellent performances and enthralled the audience with their expressions and moves.

Emerald House performed on the song ‘Kesari’. They showed Indian Army fighting for peace and safety of the country. They conveyed the message of selflessness of a soldier towards his country India. Sapphire House performed on a medley of songs showcasing India’s struggle for freedom with great zeal and enthusiasm. They conveyed the message of harmony and peace. Ruby House performed a dance on the song ‘Rang De Basanti’. They conveyed the feeling of sacrifice of today’s youth towards their country India. Topaz House performed on a medley of songs showcasing the return of a soldier from war and conveyed the message of oneness towards our country.

All the four houses performed wonderfully with great zeal and enthusiasm. The audience enjoyed every moment of the program. The spectators highly complimented the efforts put in by all the four houses. Through dance the children explored their ability to dance. Sapphire and Emerald House won the first position and Ruby House won the second position followed by Topaz bagging the third position.

It was indeed a spectacular show and a memorable one too. Dancing is a wonderful way to introduce young children to the world of music and rhythm. It also provides opportunities for socialization and room for self expression and improves self esteem and self confidence.





K.R Mangalam World School, G.K II organized an Inter House Cricket Match for the students of classes VI-VIII in the school field. The match was held in order to encourage sportsmanship spirit and groom the students in the sports domain.
The matches were played between the four Houses-Sapphire, Ruby, Topaz and Emerald. The final match was played between the students of Sapphire House and Ruby House on 12 November 2016.
All students were decked up to prove their mettle. The enthusiastic crowd experienced a thrilling performance with the two teams exhibiting their best in the limited eight overs match.The players of Sapphire House defeated Ruby House by three runs and brought laurels to their House. While the winners were applauded with certificates, the efforts of the runners up were equally appreciated.




K.R.Mangalam World School believes in the holistic development of the children and inculcates in them the streak to excel in all fields. Yoga also forms an integral part of the school curriculum and is taught to students of all classes beginning grade II.

The Inter-House Yoga Competition was held on 17 August, 2016, in the amphi-theatre of the school. The students of all the four houses competed fiercely for the winning title. Exquisite yoga postures were a hallmark of all the houses. Students moved from one pose to another effortlessly and seamlessly. The music chosen by the students for their acts was so peaceful and soothing that it infused stillness among the audience. The competition in the Junior Category was won by Ruby House and Sapphire House  won in the Senior Category.




Sapphire House Girls bagged the winning trophy by defeating Ruby House in the Final Match of the Interhouse Throwball Match for Seniors whereas Emerald House defeated Ruby House Girls and won the Interhouse Throwball Match for Juniors held at K R Mangalam World School, G.K-II on 23 August, 2016.

Held in the school ground, the Interschool Throwball matches saw teams from four different houses of the school competing neck to neck in a tournament organised for Junior as well Senior school students.

The commendable performances of the students exhibited the importance of extracurricular activities in playing a vital role in grooming the youth.


In this era of cut throat competition, it is of supreme importance to provide opportunities to students to meet the challenges of the future. K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II therefore, lays special emphasis on Co-curricular activities to provide students an edge over others to be a leader in their respective field of activity. In pursuit of the same, the Girl students of the four houses of  the school competed in a Basketball Match against each other. It was much awaited by all the participants. The girls stepped onto the court to set it ablaze with speed, endurance, magical footwork, dribble and much to the audience-excitement, a nail-biting finish. Sapphire House girls emerged triumphant after winning the First Position in the Senior Category and the Ruby House seized the First Position in the Junior Category.
