K.R. Mangalam World School, Greater Noida commemorated the 70thanniversary of the International World health day with the theme –‘Health for All’, on 9th April, 2018.Several activities were organized in the school to highlight the significance of the issue of good health and well-being.
The day began with the honourable Principal Ma’am, Ms Pooja Bose addressingthe students about the importance of good health in our lives.
The morning activities began with a rejuvenating yoga session for the students Yoga postures, pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation exercises were conducted toprovide a total mind-body workout for the students. The significance of exercise and the need to pursue a sport was also stressed.
The need to develop good eating habits was emphasised through a salad party arranged in each class during the fruit –break.
Children enjoyed munching on raw carrots and cucumber as much as eating grapes, apples and even sprouts.They all enjoyed the concept of a healthy snack.The children were also made aware about the need to have a balanced diet, drink plenty of water and eat atleast onefruit each day.
The students were happy to come together and work towards a healthy and happy future.
