Workshop for students on Health and Hygiene:-
WORLD HEALTH DAY
To raise awareness about the Health and Hygiene among young children, KRM Vaishali celebrated WORLD HEALTH DAY on April 8th, 2013. A workshop by Nutrition Advisor, Mrs. Sanjukta Banerjee was conducted to mark the occasion. The students were informed about the advantages of healthy eating, balanced diet, food pyramid and the various nutrients found in the food items. However, the young eaters’ favourite part was the description of the fruits and vegetables based on colour. They were also demonstrated the proper way of washing the hands.
World Health Day gives all of us a worldwide opportunity to focus on key public health issues that affect us and the international community at large. Since 1950, World Health Day has been celebrated annually on 7 April. Each year a theme is selected for World Health Day that highlights a priority area of concern for WHO.
The students also took a pledge to eat only healthy food and stay away from junk food.
