REPORT ON EUROPE TRIP 2015
Students of K.R. Mangalam World School, Gurgaon started off their expedition for an educational tour to Europe accompanied by the school principal and the senior school coordinator. Students marked their first day of the 10-day long tour in place miles away from their homes. It was extremely captivating to see the historic architectural masterpieces in the ancient city of Rome. The leaning tower of Pisa was yet another magnificient work of architecture that the students got to see. The next day, the pupils proceeded to the heavenly city of Geneva which left everybody awestruck with its pleasant weather and guided tour of the UN headquarters proved to be a fascinating and a memorable experience. The visit to the science museum was equally educational wherein the folks were accquainted with the European Science in the ancient times and learnt to produce electricity. The day professed with a ferry ride in the Geneva Lake which gave a beautiful view of the city in just sixty minutes. The next destination for the tourists was the “La Ville-Lumiere” aka Paris. A dream destination of many became an unforgettable illuminated city. Students visited the attractions of the city like the UNESCO headquarters, Eiffel tower and the Louvre museum. The visit to the UNESCO headquarters was yet another information excursion of the tour. The Eiffel Tower was a sight to behold whereas the Louvre museum gave the oppurtunity to the students the world famous painting “Mona Lisa”. The students thoroughly enjoyed the next full day in Disneyland, Paris.
The next and the last part of the tour was another excitemnet filled journey for the people. The students checked in the euro Space Center. The next two days in the Space Center were fun filled with interesting and educating activities. The students tried their hands on rocket making and the launching of a rocket. They thoroughly enjoyed the moon walk experience and the various movies that they saw as apart of their course in the camp. The last day at the Space Camp also in Europe, the students were awarded certificates for being a part of the camp.
The 10 day trip gave them plentiful memories to cherish all their lives and experiences that taught them lessons of life and turned them into responsible human beings.
