The students of class I – V were awed to learn about India’s second lunar exploration mission, Chandrayaan 2. Its launch was originally scheduled on 15 July, 2019 but had to be postponed due a technical snag.
The kids were wonderstruck by the facts and various videos shown to them about ISRO’s mission and were curious to know more.
A short quiz was conducted about the same in which all the kids participated with ardour.

K.R.MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL, VIKASPURI Celebrates Scholar Badge Ceremony

To celebrate the academic success and the hard work of the students, the scholar badge ceremony for class VI graders was organized on 25th April 2019 in the school amphitheatre.

The ceremony began with the school prayer followed by the welcome speech for all present. The Chief guest, Brig J.S. Gulati felicitated the achievers with the scholar badges, certificate and trophies. His address inspired everyone to aim higher and work towards achieving that. The school Principal, Ms. Priya Arora, inspired the students to thrive higher with their hard work in the years to come. She motivated the once who missed the mark this session to work harder to become scholars of the next session. The vote of thanks was followed by the school song and the national anthem.

K.R. MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL, VIKASPURI ORGANISES SCOUT &GUIDE CAMP

K.R. Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri organized a three days Scouts & Guide camp in collaboration with Hindustan Scouts & Guides for grade III to V from 12.02.19 to 14.02.19 in the school premises.

The program started with the Welcome Clap presented by the campers. It was followed by All Faith prayer and Scout song along with flag unfurling ceremony by the school Principal Ms. Priya Arora and Course Director Mr. M.R.Chauhan.

The young and dynamic scouts were given the title Cubs & Bulbuls by Mr. Chauhan. The Cubs & Bulbuls showcased various activities which they learnt during the camp like First aid – caring for injured person till they receive professional medical care, poster making, dance etc: On the basis of the activities conducted the mentors gave medals as a token of honor to the young scouts. The scouts were overwhelmed to receive the medals.

The Chief Guests motivated the scouts by sharing their life experience and also guiding the Scout-Guides on making good choices and taking responsibility for their actions so that they are prepared for their adult life as an independent person.

The program ended with the closing ceremony which included the flag down ceremony and group photograph. A feedback from the students about the camp was followed by the vote of thanks presented by the Principal ma’am. The end of one event is the new beginning for others. On this note the young scouts concluded a memorable and knowledgeable Scouts & Guide camp.

K.R. MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL, VIKASPURI ORGANISES INTER K.R.M. SOCCER TOURNAMENT

On 29th January 2019, K.R. Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri hosted its 3rdInter K.R.M Soccer Tournament, a day filled with fervor and excitement. Five branches of K.R.M. World School fraternity participated on the first day. The kick start of day-1 of the three day tournament happened with the welcoming of all the K.R.M school teams by the Principal, Ms.Priya Arora. After the march past wherein they marched proudly with military precision and perfect synchronization in their school colours, the sportspersons took an oath, pledging to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship within them. The lovely rendition of the school song, Together Towards Tomorrow, by the school choir motivated the gathering to put in their best. Four matches were conducted on day one and five on the second day.

The Chief Guest for the closing day Ms. Kamini Rawat SPE, West Zone, Delhi 18(b), appreciated the efforts of all the teams and the management in putting up such a tournament to encourage the budding football enthusiasts. Ms. Rawat, who had once been the captain of the National Volley Ball Team, addressed all the participants and inspired them to continue their efforts to enhance their talent and sportsmanship.

K.R. Mangalam World School, Gurugram bagged the first position in the boys category and K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II bagged the trophy in the girls category. Special trophies and medals were given away for various other categories like; best defender, best goal keeper, best header etc.  The Tournament came to a close with the principal appreciating the efforts of the winners and motivating all the players to put in their best in all their endeavours.

K.R. MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL CELEBRATES ARMY DAY

K.R. Mangalam World School celebrated the Army Day on 15 January 2019, in recognition of Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa’s taking over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Sir Francis Butcher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India, on 15 January 1949.

The Chief Guest Colonel Rupan Basu Chaudhary ( Sena Medal) graced the occasion. A contingent of smartly turned out NCC cadets from the school welcomed the chief guest.

The Chief Guest planted a sapling to mark the occasion and also imparted information about NCC and the importance of drill during the camps. The Colonel lauded the efforts of the NCC in bringing about a change in the attitude of the youth of the nation, through its untiring efforts and dedication. He also shared his experience of being an Army Officer. The cadets also shared their experience of being a part of the NCC.

An interactive session took place where the school NCC cadets and other students enquired more about the NCC training camps and various career opportunities one can have after joining NCC. The Principal, Ms.Priya Arora, thanked the Chief Guest who graced the occasion and the programme concluded with the National Anthem.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION 2019

The students of K.R.Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri celebrated the 70th Republic Day with great enthusiasm. To mark this august occasion, an assembly was organised on 25 January 2019. The worthy PTA members graced the occasion.The programme started with the National Song, Vande Mataram’ and the prayer. The National flag was unfurled by the honourable Principal, Ms.Priya Arora, who administered the oath to the students. They pledged to uphold the honour and integrity of the nation.This was followed by an enthralling presentation, -‘Atulya Bharat’ by the students of class V.  Through the presentation, the students brought to fore the rich cultural heritage of India.Their performance held the audience in awe.

Meritorious students were also awarded for their achievement in various fields. The Principal, Ms.Priya Arora addressed the gathering and extended her felicitations to all students, parents and teachers. She also urged everyone to remember their duties along with their rights.The patriotic fervour warmed up the cold winter morning as the school enthusiastically celebrated the glorious day.

K.R. MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL BIDS ADIEU TO THE BATCH OF 2018-19

K.R. Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri bid adieu to its batch of class XII on 28 December 2018. Foot Prints 2018 was a poignant moment for each and every corner of K.R.M. It was a day to remember, a time to feel sad along with a time to feel hope and gratitude.  The event was graced by Mr Anand Swaroop and the Senior Coordinator Ms.Preeti Chadha.

At around 10: 30 a.m, students of class XII entered the amphitheatre, ready to lap up the last day of their school lives. The class XI welcomed them with tilak. Heart touching words came out from the anchors to welcome the seniors to the amphitheater. A cultural fiesta was specially organised by the students of class XI to mark the day and make it more entertaining and memorable for their seniors.

The judges, Ms. Lekha Prakash and Ms Ankita Vinayak, evaluated the students’ talent in various field. Vidit Arora was selected for the student of the year award .The title of Mr and Miss K. R. M. was bagged by Aryan Sharma and Saloni Kataria respectively. Besides Noor Chaudhary as Hunk Among The Chunk, Mehak  Narang as  Judges’ Favourite, Ramanpreet as K R M Talent,Mehak as Miss Congeniality and Shivom Dutta as the Early Bird. The Principal, the Co-ordinators and the judges accompanied by Mr. and Miss K.R.M cut the ceremonial cake to mark the festivities.

The class XII thanked the school for all its contribution to their lives and expressed their gratitude towards their teachers and juniors for giving them such cherishable memories of the day.

K.R. Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri Students Visit Nehru Planetarium

Five students of K.R. Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri attended “Cosmonautics Day”at Nehru Planetarium, New Delhi on April 12, 2018.Nehru Planetarium, in collaboration with Russian Centre of Science and Culture and SPACE-India was celebrating Yuri Gagarin’s milestone travel to space on April 12, 1961. Space flights of famous astronauts like those ofValentina Tereshkova and Rakesh Sharma were also celebrated.

Students were shown animated astronaut movie in dome shaped Sky-Theatre. The video emphasizedthe challenges faced by astronauts during training on Earth and while staying in space. Further,Aleksey Shaposhnikov, Head of Science and Technology section of Russian Centre of Science and Culture presented a movie on Yuri Gagarin. The movie shed light on how Gagarin sailed through tough selection procedure and rigorous training course to become the first person to go into space.Mr.VikrantNarang, senior educator from SPACE-India cleared doubts asked by astronomy enthusiasts whileDrNandivadaRathnasree, Director of Nehru Planetariumleftstudents scratching their heads with her questions. The event culminated with students writing messages for their favorite astronauts andenthralling rocket launch demonstration. Curious students approached Dr. Aleksey personally, asked their doubts and took autographs.

When students were asked about what they liked the most, Saisha of class VI replied “Collaboration of SPACE with Russian Centre of Science and Culture as it gives us more exposure and a chance to interact with other enthusiasts” while Nimrit of class VII exclaimed “Astronaut Chad movie- It was interactive and quite fun way to teach students.”

The major highlight of the museum was the original Soyuz T-10 descent Module in which Squadron Leader Rakesh Sharma returned to Earth after he spent eight days in space on board the Salyut 7 space station. Students were amazed to see the burnt heat shield of the module which had charred during reentry.

K.R.Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri Students arrive at Nice, France 

21 students along with 4 teachers of K.R.Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri reached Nice, France as a part of the Indo- French  Student Exchange Programme with St.Exupery High School, France. They were given a warm welcome at the airport by the teachers, students and their paren.
