Report on the visit to National Museum
“An investment in the knowledge pays the best interest.”
Keeping in mind the significance of the above words, K.R. Mangalam World School, VikasPuri organized an educational excursion for the students of class VI on 30th November, 2019 to the National Museum, New Delhi as a part of International School Award (ISA) project. Learners got the opportunity to behold the sight of umpteen artefacts of Harappan civilization, Buddhist and medieval era. The curiosity displayed by the young minds was remarkable and they posed various questions to the museum personnel to quench their thirst of knowledge. They were informed about the immense collection of sculptures in stone, bronze, terracotta, wood, miniature painting, manuscripts, coins, jewellery, costumes and other anthropological objects. Students were astounded to see the colossal collection of the coins which the museum had and mused over it. It was truly an enriching experience for the young minds as it gave them a sneak peek into the glorious and rich past of India.
