A flipped classroom is an instructional strategy and a type of blended learning that reverses the traditional learning environment by delivering instructional content, often online, outside of the classroom. The same thing was experienced by the teachers of K.R Mangalam World School, Faridabad on 18.4.19. A workshop was organised on the topic “ Flipped Classroom”. The resource person started the presentation by asking what all activities we as a teacher are using in the classroom and then she started the workshop by telling us how to make the student responsible by using flipped classroom. The teacher’s were explained through the presentation that what is flipped classroom and what are the various applications we can use for creating a flipped classroom where the students who are least interested in the classroom won’t fall behind.
The teacher’s were given explicit hands on experience to use various strategies of creating a flipped classroom. It was learned that the Flipped Classrooms create learner-centered model in which time in the classroom is used to explore topics in greater depth and create meaningful learning opportunities. The workshop was very useful in getting to know how to involve each and every child as a responsible student in the classroom.
