Candle,lights, lamps, home filled with the smell of delicious sweets, the warmth of family, friends and the chill of forthcoming winter. This is how Diwali is celebrated in India where people,no matter what age, ethnicity and religion overwhelmingly come together and rejoice this festival.

At K.R.Mangalam World School, Faridabad Diwali was celebrated with lots of fun and excitement.All the students participated in various activities conducted during Online and Offline sessions which was truly fun and a must for Diwali celebration.

While teachers thoroughly explained various reasons behind such a celebration to students, students enjoyed various activities like diya decoration,lantern and rangoli making, dancing, singing and various diwali crafts.

On the whole, it was a day that brought incredible pleasure among all the students and their educators.

Raas or Dandiya Raas is the traditional folk dance form of Gujarat, originated in Vrindavan by Lord Krishna.Along with Garba, it is the featured dance of Navaratri evenings in Western India.
A  day workshop on Dandiya and Garba was organized by K.R. Mangalam World school, Faridabad for the mothers of primary wing.The participants enjoyed dancing on some traditional Dandiya and Garba songs.The workshop was a great success and the one who participated got a taste of the Gujarati culture and Navratri.

To build self confidence, self esteem and improve speaking skills of the students K.R. Mangalam World School organised ‘I am RJ’ activity for the students of Kindergarten. Little RJs of KRM hosted their own radio talk show where they selected the music to be played and the topic of discussion in a creative and innovative way which kept the listeners hooked and engaged throughout the session. The students left the judges awe-struck as they presented their talent immaculately.It was a fun session.

Orientation Programme 2021-22

“A parent is a teacher at home, a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe.”
To start with the new academic session 2021-22, K.R. Mangalam Faridabad organized an Orientation Programme for the parents of Pre-primary section. The programme started with the welcoming of  parents by school Principal Ms. Manmit Behel Sabharwal followed by the lighting of lamp and welcome song .School Coordinator  shared the school vision, curriculum, school systems, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities. She laid stress on effective communication between the teachers and parents so that the best could be done for the overall development of the students. A PPT was presented on the activities done by the students  in the offline and online classes. The programme concluded with some important information being given to the parents ,who later visited the classrooms with their kids and interacted with the teachers. All the parents were highly appreciative of the well organized Orientation programme.

Fireless Cooking Competition

“Cooking with kids is not just about ingredients, recipes and cooking. It’s harnessing imagination, empowerment and creativity.

To create awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without flame , the necessity and advantages of healthy eating and to encourage everyone to stay away from the junk food K.R. Mangalam World School Faridabad organised a Fireless Cooking Competition sponsored by Perk Minds Pvt Ltd, Colgate and The Sonnet Hotel.
The aim of the competition was also to provide a platform for mothers to showcase their talent and explore new areas of interest.
The participants prepared healthy dishes like Sandwiches, Salad, Cakes, Lemonade and many more using easy and quick recipes. They served the dishes in an artistic and aesthetic way which was most appealing and the displays were a visual treat   to the taste buds.
The judges for the day were Dr. Barkha (PhD in Food and Nutrition) and Chef Bhuwan who judged on the basis of presentation, cleanliness, knowledge of ingredients and taste of food.

PRESENTATION REPORT

“Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit.” – EE Cummings We wonder about the beauty of a butterfly but rarely do we think about its difficult yet glorious journey. The life of a student is also like a beautiful path that leads them to glory. “Every child is a flower of its own kind and all together they make this world a beautiful garden”.We at KR Mangalam World School, Faridabad endeavor to help our children get their wings to reach high and take pride in creating an ambience for learning that invigorates and unfolds the true potential of every child. Hence, on 12 February, 2020 the students of grade IV presented their Annual Class Presentation on Navras- A Harmony of Nine Emotions. The program commenced with a beautiful rendition of Lord Ganesha, the ‘Vighnaharta’ along with kindling the divine lamp. Salutation for the guests was presented through a welcome note and song. This was followed by the felicitation of the guests for the occasion. Our revered Principal ma’am welcomed the honorable Chief Guest and Guest of Honor of the day. Advocate Suresh Aggarwal and Advocate Vivek Aggarwal, renowned personalities in the field of law and taxation were complimented for their presence through a token of appreciation.
It was an occasion of celebration, felicitation and festivity when students present their wonderful performances.The young, enthusiastic students displayed the different emotions pertained in human nature through various acts like dance, play, song and mime act. The perennial existence of emotions and its spiritual essence that symbolizes ‘Harmony’ was truly exhibited in the scintillating performances. The grandeur of the Finale left the audience enthralled.
Last but not the least, our respected Principal ma’am, the sculptor of human character and a navigator of knowledge presented a heartwarming speech to celebrate the success of the students. The program ended on a patriotic note with the rendition of National Anthem. All the emotions portrayed by the children received great response from the audience and were greatly appreciated.

SMARTECHIA-2019: INTERSCHOOL ICT COMPETITION
PRESS RELEASE

K.R. Mangalam World School Faridabad organized an Inter School ICT Competition “SMARTECHIA” on JANUARY 19, 2019, for the young techno-dexterous students across Delhi-NCR. The competition provided a platform for the participants from various schools to gain substantial experience, showcase their skills, analyze and evaluate outcomes and uncover the latent talents and personal aptitude in the world of computer and technology. During the competition, while some of the participants proved their mettle in events like WebBuzz, Show the Scratch and Slide Swivel, others showcased their talent in Fly it off with Flyer, Movie Mania and Exploring VB. The quiz geniuses racked their brain for answers in the Quizbuzz and were elated upon their choice in the finals.

Smartechia-2019 (2)The event was adjudged by Dr.P. C. Vashist, Professor and Head (IT),G.L. Bajaj Institute of Management and Technology and Dr.Ms. Urvesh Chaudhery, Principal, Advanced Institute of Technology and Management. While the young learners competed fiercely for the coveted position, the judges were impressed by their creativity and proficiency. While each of the school scored in one or more activities, M.V.N Sec 17 and K.R. Mangalam World School Faridabad were adjudged the overall winners in the competition. M.V.N Sec 17 was declared the ‘Star of the Event’ and was handed over the coveted trophy.Smartechia-2019 (1)Principal Ms. Manmit Behel Sabharwal appreciated the efforts of all the participants and accompanying teachers in making the event a grand success. While she congratulated the winners, she also encouraged others to reflect upon their learning and excel the next time.  The event culminated with the Vote of Thanks followed by the National Anthem.

REGISTRATION
• Shoot a “Women in space” themed based video.
• Post on online platforms (Facebook), keeping Privacy Settings as Public, by [email protected](for Facebook) and using hashtags #WomenHeroism #SPACEIndia, #DigitalIndiaand #ThinkShootUpload.
• For YouTube, first upload the video on your YouTube & post that link on your Facebook timeline & follow the steps mentioned above.

THEME
• The theme should address or explain about women in space, their achievements and contribution.
• Any scientific aids or models can be used to explain the contributions.
• The mode of explaining the theme can be demonstration, presentation, interaction or interview.
For example –
i). Explaining the contribution and achievement of women in the field of Astronomy with a self-made presentation or photographs (can be used from internet with proper credits).
ii). Interacting or interviewing a group of people on a topic such as women achievements in space and their life and conclude it with a summary.
PARTICIPATION
• The video should introduce only ONE participant. Volunteers can be involved
• A Team can create the video but registration will be ACCEPTED for one individual only.
• No Team registration will be accepted.

• The podcasts will be judged based on the originality of the idea, science content, clarity of the concept and its delivery along with usage of aids.
