SANSKRIT is the most ancient of all Languages in the world .It is the mother of all Indian languages. Its mystic powers are capable of inspiring the entire mankind through generations. The first call for the welfare of the human world as a whole could be heard only from the VEDAS the earliest monumental records of human wisdom produced in Sanskrit.
In the vast history of the world, there has been no language so complete, so variegated, so advanced, as perfect as Sanskrit. Every emotion, every expression, every thought the human mind can perceive can be expressed through the beautiful language of Sanskrit. This realization dawned upon us students of Classes V – VIII during the Sanskrit week that was organized in K. R. Mangalam World School, Faridabad from 22nd to 24th October, 2019. The “Language Week” was a great way for the students to get a vast range of exposure in the French/Sanskrit Language. It was a way to inculcate a sense of pride and importance for the third languages that the students study as part of their curriculum.
The students of Grade V presented their ideas and creativity through “SANSKRIT Word Collage Making” Competition on the given topic “दीपावली” Grade VI- VII participated in “SHLOKA Recitation Competition” on ‘प्रकृति’. The student showcased their talent by reciting the shloka, the rhythmic form of Sanskrit recitation.
Grade VIII students presented the ‘SANSKRIT SKIT’ on “ पर्यावरण प्रदूषण” .The students presented their awareness on the given topic through the skit. The students were confident with their dialogues and pronunciation in Sanskrit. This “Sanskrit Week” was an initiative to promote the learning of the ancient Indian language.
