During the Computer Week Activity, our little explorers of class III of K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II participated in the ‘TUX Paint Activity’ using stamps and Magic tools. The students enthusiastically made a ‘Park scene’, keeping in mind the topic of the week, with the tools of TUX Paint. Students enjoyed the activity and were eager tolearn the new features.
The students of class IV had a lot of fun during the Computer Week Activity. They enjoyed designing the ‘Posters’ and were thrilled to use shapes as different containers for entering their text messages. They enthusiastically participated in the poster making activity during the online class and were excited to share their work. An online fun Quiz was an added attraction. It was indeed an enriching learning experience for everyone.
As we all know that technology can be a life changer for our kids so to understand it better, the students of Class V designed a word document on the topics- Eating Healthy, Effects of Pollution and Global Warming – a Threat to Mother Earth. They incorporated the various formatting tools available in MS – Word to enhance their document. An online Google Quiz was also conducted to test their skills.

To cultivate the spirit of reasoning, logical thinking abilities and the development of interest amongst the students for Mathematics, Math week was organized in the school on the virtual platform.
‘The Palate Fest’ Activity was conducted for class III in the Math week. Students discussed about the diverse cuisines that are relished around the world and different parts of the country. Students pasted pictures of the cuisine assigned to them and noted down the calories present in the ingredients used to find the total calorific value of the cuisine. They compared the calories of the ingredients and arranged the ingredients in Ascending order based on their calorific values.
Class IV was assigned an Activity of Making a Pictograph. The students were given a choice to choose any 5 favourite breakfast options. The data was collected on the spot and they were then asked to make a pictograph using the same. To make it more interesting, the students were given picture puzzles which was thoroughly enjoyed by them. The objective of this activity was to make them understand the meaning of the term Data, analyse it, interpret and make a Pictograph out of it.
The students of Class V performed an activity of ‘Making a Bar Graph.’ Keeping the ISA topic in mind, the students were provided the data of the lengths (in km) of five rivers of India. They were shown a video to assist them in making the graph.They were taught to put the title for the graph and represent the information using bars of equal width. Students displayed immense enthusiasm while doing the Math week activities.
