Project “GRUEN: Green Urban Environments”
Seher Khurana, a student of class XII of K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II participated in an online workshop as part of the Jean Monnet Project “GRUEN: Green Urban Environments”, . It was a learning experience which provided a platform to gain insight into the key objectives of the EU’s 7thEuropean Union Government Action Programme to 2020, which commenced in March 2020 and culminated on 12 September 2020.
Seher was given a chance to collaborate with people from both Asia and the European Union to design a ‘ green city’.
It was enlightening to see the enthusiasm of students from different spheres of life and their willingness to come together for a common cause – working towards a cleaner, greener and more sustainable earth.
The conference was organized from 10 September 2020-13 September , 2020 by the Maxmuller Bhawan. After months of hard work, conducting hundreds of Zoom meetings, exchanging ideas and practicing for hours daily, the team secured the third position and each team member was awarded €100 as an incentive for their dedication towards the project. Congratulations to Seher and Swati Kalra, the German mentor!
