Competitions are a fusion of talent, imagination, creativity and alertness. Whether it is art, music, creative writing or debate, the activities help to bring out the uniqueness of each individual. Keeping up with this thought K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II organised various Inter-House Competitions on 19 July 2019 for the students of the Middle School and Senior School.The Poster Making Competition helped to gauge the students’ creativity and awareness quotient.Students of classes VI to VIII participated in the competition and displayed their artistic skills through an array of posters on the themes ‘World of Books’ or ‘Awareness of Waterborne Diseases’.
Spontaneity and confidence are the hallmark of any competition. An Inter-House Essay Writing Competition was held for the students of classes VI to VIII. In the English category the students were asked to write an essay on anyone of the topics- ‘Books versus E-books’ and ‘Social Media and Bullying’. The Hindi category comprised of the topics ‘PustakonkaMehtav’ and ‘Vigyapanoki Shakti’. The essay was judged on the basis of the student’s content, expression, accuracy and vocabulary. The purpose of the competition was to encourage the students to enhance their thinking and writing skills. The students showcased originality and good command over the languages.
