The students of K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II have been hitting a home run with their winning spree in all spheres. The school is proud to share that Aditya Singh of Class XII has won the second position in Instrumental Music ( Classical) at the National level. The school congratulates Aditya for this success.
Kanwar Raj Singh Sodhi of Class X E from K.R. Managalam World School, Greater Kailash-II, is a young 15-year-old prodigious talent in the field of Chess. He has attained the title of AIM before his name (Arena International Master).

Now during the times of the COVID pandemic, regular chess tournaments can no longer take place.
This has not stopped Kanwar as he has started playing online chess and has won several cash prizes as well. He has secured a place in the top 300 rank in the world in the Ultra bullet format which is the fastest chess format possible.
He plays for different teams and clubs online and has won a lot of prizes.
On November 28, 2020, Kanwar played his best online game against GM RR Laxman (Grand Master#20 of India), whom he beat in just 40 moves.
Kanwar has made the school proud with his achievements through a relentless pursuit of his passion.

We had an overwhelming participation of class 7 and 8 students (session 2019-20) in the 5th Korea-India Friendship Quiz Contest 2020 organised by the Korean Cultural Centre of Embassy of the Republic of South Korea. The quiz was held in three levels. Ten students qualified to the Second Level Quiz Competition. Harjas Singh Chhabra has made us proud by securing the Second position in the second level of the Quiz, thereby reaching the Finals of the Korea-India Quiz Competition .
Project “GRUEN: Green Urban Environments”
Seher Khurana, a student of class XII of K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II participated in an online workshop as part of the Jean Monnet Project “GRUEN: Green Urban Environments”, . It was a learning experience which provided a platform to gain insight into the key objectives of the EU’s 7thEuropean Union Government Action Programme to 2020, which commenced in March 2020 and culminated on 12 September 2020.
Seher was given a chance to collaborate with people from both Asia and the European Union to design a ‘ green city’.
It was enlightening to see the enthusiasm of students from different spheres of life and their willingness to come together for a common cause – working towards a cleaner, greener and more sustainable earth.
The conference was organized from 10 September 2020-13 September , 2020 by the Maxmuller Bhawan. After months of hard work, conducting hundreds of Zoom meetings, exchanging ideas and practicing for hours daily, the team secured the third position and each team member was awarded €100 as an incentive for their dedication towards the project. Congratulations to Seher and Swati Kalra, the German mentor!
Chunauti 2020 was organized by Apeejay School, Saket, on May 11, 2020. Due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, the competition was held in virtual mode (on-line). As part of Chunauti, Doyel Dhawan of Class IX of K.R Mangalam World School, G.K-II participated in “We Rise”, a classical dance competition, in which the performer had to create a video depicting ways to overcome fear and sorrow through the joy of dance. The theme selected by K.R Mangalam School, GK-II, was the combating of COVID 19, by taking precautions and using the weapon of cleanliness to wipe out coronavirus. Choreographed in classical Indian dance style, Doyel displayed remarkable expressions and exemplary movements, in depicting joy, sorrow and hope. She secured the second position among all the participants in this Inter-School event.
