Computer teachers of the school, trained the teachers from Pre-Primary to Class XII on how to use Zoom for online classes. The teachers were trained to use the various features available to be able to make the best out of their teaching practices based on the level of the students. The entire teaching faculty is now taking online classes without problems.
Inter- House Clay Modelling Competition
An Inter House ‘Clay Modelling’ competition was held on 19 October 2019 in the school premises
The students were divided into two categories – Senior and Junior. Total twelve students participated from different houses. The topic for the same was ‘Diya Making’. Students enthusiastically took part in the competition and made many wonderful and creative divas. Ms. Lubna and Ms. Gurpreet Kaur were the esteemed judges for the competition and the judgement was given on the basis of creativity, decoration and finishing.
In the senior category, RAVEESHA KOTHARI, of class XI-F, bagged the first position and RIA, of class IX-B,bagged the second position.In the Junior category, TRISHNA PILLAI of class VIII-A got the first prize, JIA GANDHI of class VIII-E got the second prize and BINEET SINGH of class VI-E got the third prize.
K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II organized Intra Model United Nations Conference on September 28 and 30, 2019 to facilitate the training of the students of the school in the field of Model United Nations. The students were given various themes to debate on. It turned out to be a huge success.

A technological inter school event COMP ‘D’ Affairs was organised on August 08, 2019 to celebrate the new technological inventions in computers.
Dr. V.V Subrahmanyam, Director, School of Computer and Information Sciences (SOCIS), IGNOU, New Delhi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Twenty Eight schools participated with great enthusiasm in all the events.Various events for classes IV to XII were organised like Mindsweeper,
Quiz, A/V Editing, PhotoGIMP, Reiment (Fancy dress), notiFYI and Sidequest(Gaming) to name a few.

K. R Mangalam World School, G.K II always encourages students’ participation in competitions for their holistic development. Various Inter-House Competitions were organized on 9th August, 2019 for the students of middle school. The competitions were a fusion of talent, imagination, creativity and alertness. The Painting Competition helped to engage children in a creative exercise to identify their hopes and dreams of the future. Students of classes VI to VIII participated in the competition and displayed their artistic skills. The competition was like an extravagance for the little painters and the spectators as well as they used their brilliance of painting blended with the perceptions displayed on the painting sheet.
The chaste bond of love between a brother and a sister is one of the deepest and noblest of human emotions. Raksha Bandhan or rakhi is special occasion to celebrate this emotional bonding. Rakhi Making Competition was organized for the students of classes VI – VIII. The competition aimed at strengthening the bond of love and to instill the virtues of love and harmony among the students. It was truly a delight to watch the young hands of our little artisans put together intricate material and fondly fiddle for mirrors, ornaments, adhesive etc to deliver beautiful and extremely creative masterpieces. All the students participated with zeal and prepared colourful rakhis and made the event successful.

Debate is one of the academic activities that give students creative room to express what they feel and hone their communication skills. With the same perspective in view, an Inter- House Debate Competition was organized at K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K- II for students of classes IX and XI on 9 August 2019. The topic of the debate was ‘Can information Technology replace teachers in schools, doctors in hospitals’?Orators from each house debated excellently in favour and against the motion. The contestants were judged in content, expression and fluency. Radhika Sharma and Nikhar Bajaj of Emerald house bagged the first and third position, respectively. NayannKhandelwal of Sapphire house won the second position.

Competitions are a fusion of talent, imagination, creativity and alertness. Whether it is art, music, creative writing or debate, the activities help to bring out the uniqueness of each individual. Keeping up with this thought K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II organised various Inter-House Competitions on 19 July 2019 for the students of the Middle School and Senior School.The Poster Making Competition helped to gauge the students’ creativity and awareness quotient.Students of classes VI to VIII participated in the competition and displayed their artistic skills through an array of posters on the themes ‘World of Books’ or ‘Awareness of Waterborne Diseases’.
Spontaneity and confidence are the hallmark of any competition. An Inter-House Essay Writing Competition was held for the students of classes VI to VIII. In the English category the students were asked to write an essay on anyone of the topics- ‘Books versus E-books’ and ‘Social Media and Bullying’. The Hindi category comprised of the topics ‘PustakonkaMehtav’ and ‘Vigyapanoki Shakti’. The essay was judged on the basis of the student’s content, expression, accuracy and vocabulary. The purpose of the competition was to encourage the students to enhance their thinking and writing skills. The students showcased originality and good command over the languages.
Extempore is one such method which assists the students not only in thinking on their own but also in voicing their creative ideas with precision. To imbibe a true spirit of learning in students and to enhance the communication skills in them, an Inter House Extempore Competition, was held at KR Mangalam world School,G.K – II on 19th July, 2019 during the zero period for classes IX and XI.Jovita(XI-C) of Ruby House emerged as the winner of the competition which was followed by Radhika and Akshay of Emerald and Sapphire Houses bagging the second and the third position respectively.
