The students of class II & III of K.R. Mangalam World School, GK-2 enthusiastically presented the very first virtual ‘ISA Culmination’the solemn presentation began with the seeking of the invincible Almighty and also with the auspicious Diya lighting ceremony.  The students sang a Welcome song melodiously which was indeed extremely mesmerizing. This was followed with the Welcome address bythe Principal, Dr. Sangeeta Arora and was further followed by “Journey of school” which encompassed and highlighted all memorable memories and hard work done by the students and teachers. The students also presented an enthralling Ganesh Vandana Dance where in each movement expressed a word. The function was presided over by the chief guest Mr. Romit Manchanda who is a senior head chef at Hilton, Istanbul. Mr. Abhishek Gupta and Mrs. Puja Gupta, member of management, K.R.M Group of Schools.

Our tiny narrators of class II and III presented and spoke such wonderfully about their allocated countries. The first country was Mexico, second Japan and third India. The fiesta started off with the students giving a brief introduction about the location, culture, cuisine, traditions, clothes worn, geographical area covered, dance and native food. The students also explained the nutritive value, calorific value and also presented show n tell. The young angels coordinated with everything so charmingly via our virtual mode. Our young presenters left no stone unturned through dance as well. For Mexico they tapped their feet on “Maria Pitache”, for Japan it was the world famous “Japanese Fan Dance” and for India it was the very popular “Ghoomar” that was presented exquisitely during the presentation.

The GRAND FINALE comprised of the Master Chef-Festival De Comida, wherein the students updated everyone withthe dishes that had been appreciated by one and all. It started off with Mexican starter followed by Indian main course and concluded at Japanese desert. The fiesta ended by the Vote of Thanks by Ms. Sanya Gupta, Pre-Primary Incharge and was followed by Glimpses and a Grand finale song.

It was a feast to eyes to watch our beloved budding kids acting and presenting like fountainheads of knowledge expounding about various cuisines even at this difficult scenario. The entire program stimulated their imagination and proved vital for the students in understanding cultural diversity of the different cuisines. It was indeed an enthralling culmination which not only ignited their mind, but also helped in acquiring proficiency about famous cuisines of various countries.

Scholar Badge Ceremony 2020

Envisaging opportunities, being steadfast, establishing an unwavering focus and nurturing belief in one’s potential has been a forte for the students of K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II. Keeping up the eminence and splendor, the school observed its first ever Online Live Scholar Badge Ceremony on October 16, 2020 to felicitate a multitude of meritorious scholars of classes IV to XI who achieved excellence in academics for the session 2019 & 20. 

The solemn ceremony commenced on an auspicious note by invoking the blessings of the invincible Almighty with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp,spreading the light of knowledge all around. This was followed by the welcome song where the students presented a soulful rendition in praise of the deity to help sanctify and cleanse our souls. The function was presided over by the Chief Guest of the day Shri Ashok Kumar Mehta, Chief Commissioner, Central GST, Vadodara, Shri S.L Bansal, Director of KRM Group of Schools, Mr. Abhishek Gupta and Mrs. Puja Gupta, members of management, K.R.M Group of Schools. The Principal, Dr. Sangeeta Arora formally welcomed the distinguished guest and the august gathering. She congratulated the students for their commendable feat in academics and emphasizedon the need to be indomitable and focused, which would facilitate them in fulfilling their aspiration. Instilling confidence in them she encouraged them to carry forward the progressive values, keeping the banner of K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K- II flyhigh. As the Scholar Badge Ceremony progressed, Susree Mohanty enthralled everyone with her perfect classical dance moves and Aarna Bhura beautifully performed a ballet, in rhythm and style. The Chief Guest Shri. Ashok Kumar Mehta congratulated the scholars for their stupendous performance and emphasized upon the fact that with acknowledgment comes accountability and one should shoulder the mantle of excellence that he/she has chosen. This was followed by the felicitation ceremony wherein the meritorious students of classes VI to XI receivedBadges and certificates of excellence as Scholars, Super Scholars, the Commendable and the Appreciable, for the session 2019 & 20.

It was indeed a proud moment for the parents of the young scholars seeing their wards receiving thehonours. The ceremony culminated with the vote of thanks by Ms. Ritu Sachdeva, the Senior School Incharge.

Environmental conservation is the burning issue of modern times and it is the duty of individuals to realise the obligation towards the society. In keeping with the same, K.R. Mangalam World School ,GK-II, emboldened NCC Officer(ANO) Ms. Anju Sen to participate in The All India Swachhta Pakwada Cycle Rally Flagging in Ceremony conducted on 27 September 2019.
Mega Swachhta Abhayan, has been undertaken by NCC, in sync with Hon’able PM, Mr. Narendra Modi’s vision, since the last two years, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Father of the Nation. Activities related to this mission were carried out extensively by Pan India- NCC Cadets with mass participation of the public. As part of the Mega Swachhta Pakhwada, Pan India Cycle Rallies, encompassing both Inter and Intra State participants were flagged off on 08 August 2019.The cycle rally aimed to create awareness and majorly focus on plastic waste management as a part of ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa Plan’ of the Hon’ble PM. The event culminated at India Gate on 27 September 2019 in the presence of the Hon’able Rajya Raksha Mantri Sh. Shripad Nayak.

TheGerman Cultural and Literary Fest, ‘Deutsch Jamboree’was organized byK.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II in collaboration with Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhavan, on Friday, July 26, 2019.With over 150 participants from 8 schools of Delhi-NCR, the day was indeed momentous to celebrate.

The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. This was followed by the inaugural dance which was a fascinatingfusion of multiculturalism, beautifully presented by the endowed dancers of the school. In her welcome address the Principal,Dr. Sangeeta Arora,accentuatedupon the school’s role inbroadening empathy, cultural outlook and a holistic vision towards the development of each child. A euphoric rendition, ‘Jetzt Geht Es Los’,was presented by the school’s zestful performers which left the audience enthralled.The dignitaries from Gothe Institute, Max Muller Bhavan, appreciated the efforts of the students and motivatedthem with their words of wisdom.

The guests for the event,Ms. Veronika Tarazinskaja and Ms. Vibhuti Sukhramani,Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi, presided over as honorary judges for the competitions that were organized as a part of the event.

After the formal announcement of the event to be open,students from various schools enthusiastically participated in competitions like LACHEN IST GESUND(a comedy skit), MUSIK MARATHON (song & band) and KOCHEN MACHT SPAβ! (preparing a German dish).

The program, concluded with the much-awaited prize and certificate distribution ceremony wherein the dignitaries felicitated the outstanding achieversfor their commendable performances. K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II bagged the first position and passed on their rolling trophy to DPS, Noidawho secured the second position. The eventful day concluded with the valedictory function in which Ms. Swati Kalra Singh, the Head of German Department, proposed the vote of thanks.The program culminated with the rendition of the national anthem.

A counselling session was conducted in K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II,on July 24,2019,by the school council members and prefects of classXII.The girls of classes VIII to XI participated in the session.The interaction was called on for sensitizing the students about the harmful effects of excessive use of social media and the impact it has on their lives.Gracey Sachdeva,the Head Girl,strongly emphasised that girls should be aware of the pros and cons of using Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook etc., sharing photos and important information about themselves. She also encouraged the girls to take a step forward and voice out their problems and share it with their immediate close ones. The school counsellorshared her views regarding the same and made an appeal to all the girls that courage is the fire that can help one fight for their self-esteem.

Opportunities must be wrested and worked for, with perseverance and determination

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), established by the Government of India aims to bring about qualitative improvement in school education and identify and nurture talented students and award them with scholarships. NTSE is the national level scholarship exam which is conducted for students of Class X each year.Planning a methodological way to prepare and crack this exam is vital.

Keeping up with the same a workshop was organized by K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K II on 18 July 2019, for the students of Class X.The workshop was conducted by Mr. Deepak Singh,Director, He gave the students an insight of the NTSE exam. This session was a boon for the students as it would help them to carve a niche for themselves in this competitive world and gain an edge over others.

Imagination is the beginning of creation

Design is a journey of discovery and this century belongs to creativity and innovation. The engagement to shape the future has become intense and pervasive. Every aspect of life demands a new perspective, a new approach and new solutions. To experience constantly the better, young designers work with a greater thrust. Keeping up with the same a workshop on ‘Design as a Career’ was organised on July 16, 2019 by K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II for the Humanities stream students of Class XI. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Meenakshi, Administrative Head, Trendz Academy, New Delhi.

The resource person emphasised on the fact that the world of business and industry requires people with fresh perspectives. Hence specialised training combined with creative strengths will be the best sought-after combination in the job market.All that the student needs to do is assess if he or she has the instinct and passion for an offbeat career, and then they can pick the preferred domain and seek mentoring to realise their dream. She also discussed with the students about the various types of courses on Design and as to how they can prepare and crack the exam to get admission into a particular designing institute. The workshop ended with students asking queries related to the various career options in the field of Design. It was an informative session.

Decisions are the toughest thing to make especially when it is a choice between where one should be and where one aspires to be. K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K. II remains committed in helping every learner trudge their own path into the threshold of the future. In pursuit of the same, the school organized a workshop on Stream Selection and Career Counselling for the students of Class X, on July 16, 2019.he workshop was conducted by Ms. Ruby Saurahkiafrom RAYS Career which empowers Students & Young Professionals. They emphasized on the fact that education is just not the harbinger for sustenance but it is also about pursuing the true essence of one’s life.

The motto of the workshop was to help the students make informed decision. The session covered various facets of career choice and its determining factors such as aptitude and interest, availability of opportunity and inherent potential. Urging the students to believe in their strengths and follow their passion, the resource people also threw light on the various skills required for pursuing a particular career, and how a combination of such skills is essential for success in a field. Further the students were introduced to the various career paths available under the categories Humanities, Science, Commerce, Vocational Skills and new careers based on competitive exams. It was indeed an enriching experience for all the students. 

Stream Selection Workshop


 Communication is the lifeline for any relationship

K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II organised a workshop on July 13, 2019 to enhance the professional development of teachers. The workshop was conducted by sister Sangeeta,a member of the Brahma Kumaries Rajyoga Centre,G.K-II.The theme of the workshop was to take a positive step towards building strong relationships.Sister Sangeeta enlightened the teachers about the importance of learning to appreciate similarities and respect differences.She emphasized on the fact that honesty is that quality which helps to change our energy and perception of others towards us. The workshop ended with a meditation session.It was a learning and enriching experience.
