WORKSHOP ON ANTI BULLYING FOR CLASSES 3-5

SPEAKER : Tanushree Sangma is an Expressive Art Based Therapist and Counselling Psychologist at Fortis Hospital,Vasant Kunj. She has done her Masters in Psychology from University of Delhi and holds a CID- UNESCO Certification in Dance & Movement Therapy. She has conducted workshops for school students and trainees using creative art based methods. She holds interest in working with school students and groups on issues around emotional and psychological well being.
The workshop started with a general appraisal of the students , their well being and student life. She interacted with them and asked them regarding what they knew about bullying and discussed that always 3 people are involved in bullying- bully, victim and bystander. Then types of bullying were being discussed- physical, verbal, cyber and social relational bullying and how it affects the mindset of students in different ways. Then the places were being discussed where bullying takes place i.e. bus, corridors, classroom. She talked to them and asked them to stand for themselves and learn to say NO. She asked them to form an Anti Bullying Squad in their classroom and start working for it . Later she told them who to ask for help when in such situation and also asked the students to be a buddy instead of bully.
