Workshop on Multiple Intelligence
“Some of the best years in life are the time spent as a child and later our collegiate years, as working adults in a fast paced society; we sometimes forget just how precious and fleeting those years are”. Good teachers become great teachers by going beyond the call of duty beyond the textbook.
Keeping this in mind, K.R. Mangalam has always been taking initiatives to enrich their faculty by holding various interesting workshops. A stimulating and enhancing workshop was conducted for teachers, teaching classes VI to X on 1 July,2016 by Dr Ashok Arora, Educational Advisor, K.R. Mangalam Group of schools. The workshop aimed at enabling teachers to identify every child’s potential and help them grow in the preferred field and broaden the arena. The convenor of the workshop not just emphasised the need of identifying a personality type but also discussed the need of each and every facet of an individual’s personality. The teachers were able to know more about themselves through a very interesting questionnaire which is popularly known as Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
The workshop also taught the teachers to amalgamate multiple intelligence tests into the classroom and how to make it cross curricular. Overall, it was an educational, stirring and inspirational experience.
