Winners at Science Competition – STEAM
A platform for Creative Thinkers
The students of K.R. Mangalam World School, Gurugram brought laurels to school by being the winners of the first round in the most prestigious science based competition STEAM. It was a challenging competition that required high order critical thinking skills. In the first round the students were required to build three devices in 20 minutes in order to put five balls in boxes using simple materials like straws, scissors, sketch pens, scale, ice cream sticks, rubber bands, a spoon, glue stick etc. Thisnot only required few tricks but also innovation. The second round involved designing an
advertisement ,on the theme ‘magic’, in about 15 minutes which required an out of the box idea. The students came out with flying colours by bagging a first prize. They got selected in the second round which will be in South Korea in July.
