Diwali means rows of lighted lamps and happiness all around. The festival marks the triumph of good over evil and is widely believed to mark the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya after vanquishing the demon king Ravana.
The celebration of Diwali ‘The Festival of lights’ came alive at K.R.Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar when the little ones excitedly came dressed up in the ethnic attires for the Diwali celebration. On the joyous occasion, the little ones enthusiastically participated in a string of activities and decorated clay diyas, created beautiful floral Rangoli designs, danced to the foot tapping music and enjoyed Diwali party which illuminated their heart with joy and fervor. The teachers sensitized the students on ill effects of burning crackers .She urged the students to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali with candles, Diyas , sweets and to donate clothes , gifts to needy people. The students also participated in ‘Say no to cracker’ rally holding banners and placards with an aim to spread the message of clean and cracker free Diwali.
The celebration came to an end with lots of joy and happiness sparkling on the faces of little ones as it instilled a sense of victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair .
