“It is time to remove the darkness of ignorance within us and replace it with the light of hope and knowledge instead”
Diwali means rows of lighted lamps and happiness all around. The Festival of Lights mark the triumph of good over evil and is widely believed to mark the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya after vanquishing the demon king Ravana.
The celebration of Diwali ‘The Festival of lights’ came alive at K.R.Mangalam World School, PaschimVihar on 12 November 2020 when the little ones excitedly dressed up in the ethnic attire joined the Diwali celebration on a virtual platform.
The celebrationsilluminated everyone’s heart with joy and fervor. The week long celebrations comprised many things. Welcoming the festival of lights virtually first time ever, the students unfolded their creative abilities in a string of activities such as Diya decoration, Dance party for the tiny tots, Rangoli making, Thali decoration and lantern making.
The teachers sensitised the students on ill effects of the burning crackers and urged to celebrate the festival with candles, Diyas , sweets and bring smile to other’s face by donating clothes and other gifts to needy people.
Certainly it was a unique Diwali we had ever celebrated.
