“It is the little conversations that build the relationships and make an impact on each student” – Robert John Meehan
Parent teacher meeting is a prominent and notable feature of the school curriculum. The motive is close interaction of parents with teachers with regard to the progress shown by their wards and finding workable solutions to the problems coming in the way of development of their ward.
K.R. Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar believes that a parent-teacher conference is a great opportunity to share academic progress and growth based on virtual classroom observations, activities and assignments. Keeping this in mind, the first virtual PTM for the academic session 2021-22 was organised on 10 April, 2021, which gave an opportunity to both parent and the teacher to interact with each other. By having contact with parents, teachers learn more about students’ needs and home environment which they can apply towards meeting those needs of the children. On the day, parents were ensured that the school and teachers are providing quality education to their ward. Different activities will be organised for the overall development of the children throughout the year. Parents were requested to ensure that their ward keeps up with and regularly attends the online classes and practices the study material that is sent on a regular basis. Parents were guided the way they had to submit the homework of the child to the class teacher, since there are virtual classes going on. The PTM was very smooth, lively and fruitful for both the parent and the teacher.
The PTM was concluded successfully with positive feedback from the parents. They were glad to acknowledge the efforts taken up by the school and its staff for the accomplishment of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
