Grandparents are the roots and the senior most members of the family. They are the most experienced people who serve as a guide, teacher and above all a friend. They are the founders of a loving legacy, greatest story-tellers and the keepers of traditions. Grandparents Day gives us an opportunity to show our respect and gratitude towards them. To honour and to make them feel special, K.R.Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar celebrated Grandparents Day on Saturday,11 September 2021.
The students of nursery and kg celebrated this special event with lots of love and excitement. The event began by seeking the blessings of God almighty in a special prayer followed by their welcome in English, Hindi and Punjabi languages. The children presented a small token of love in the form of a poem and a special dance performance. All special occasions are incomplete without a cake, so a cake cutting ceremony was done to make them enjoy this special moment with their grandchildren followed by a some fun games which were enjoyed by one and all. The grandchildren were very excited to see their grand dad or grand mom participate in the games enthusiastically and also cheered for them. The grandparents relived their childhood by actively participating in the games and enjoying every moment with their grandchildren. The fond affection shared by grandparents and grandchildren was evident while playing the games.
The success of this special celebration could be seen easily through the joyful smiles of the grandparents as they were overwhelmed to be part of this beautiful and memorable time spent with their grandchildren. Grandparents were ecstatic to witness this special event and a few of them came forward and appreciated the program and thanked the KRM family for making this event an unforgettable experience.
