Heart Day
“Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.”
World Heart Day which is celebrated on September 29 every year is the world’s biggest platform for raising awareness about cardiovascular disease, including heart disease and stroke among all ages. It’s about saying to ourselves and to, the people we care about and individuals all around the world, “what can I do right now to look after MY HEART… and YOUR HEART?
On that note, World Heart Day was celebrated virtually by the students of K.R. Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar. Teachers motivated the students to practice healthy lifestyles and exercise regularly. The importance of being in good health by leading a healthy and energetic life was reinforced. They were also explained to be sensitive towards feeling of others and not break any one’s heart with rude behaviour and actions. Children of Nursery and KG classes made Tattoos on this occasion depicting hearts. The activity was full of enthusiasm and children had great fun participating. Students also took a pledge to laugh a lot by keeping all the worries aside and staying happy always and making others happy.
