Art and craft activities give children a sense of achievement and allow them to take pride in their work which builds confidence and develop their creativity at the same time. It allows the children to express themselves without any hesitation and also fosters mental growth by providing opportunities for experimentation and new ways of thinking. To enhance the creative skills of our little mangalites, K.R. Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar organized art and craft activities virtually for nursery and kg children which gave them a platform to showcase their creativity and imagination.
On one hand, the nursery children did hand printing activity using the seven colours of rainbow creating beautiful rainbow, which helped in developing their fine motor skills. Their bilateral coordination skills improved as they learn to use both hands at the same time. On the other hand, the kg children made bluebird magnet using coloured ice-cream sticks, feathers and magnet which helped them to develop self-regulation skills, patience and concentration. The students participated enthusiastically as it gave them an opportunity to showcase their creativity. Teachers appreciated and acknowledged the work done by the students.
The activities were not only a fun filled experience, but it also proved to be a valuable means to develop artistic skills in the young ones.
