To keep the fervour of Independence Day alive in students K. R. Mangalam World school, Paschim Vihar celebrated the occasion with great enthusiasm and patriotism on 12 August 2022. To channelize the creativity of the children various activities were held in the classes. The children were told about the history of freedom struggle and the importance of being independent. They were also explained the significance of each colour of the tricolour flag. A beautiful craft activity was planned for them to encourage them to be a part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement, bringing the flag home, in which they had to make their National flag using different ideas and hoisting them at home.
An enjoyable activity was planned wherein the students dressed up as freedom fighters and spoke about them with gratitude. The pride and the confidence of the children while participating in this activity was a sight to be remembered.
The icing on the cake was the special assembly on this topic. The students presented a skit on the theme arising a patriotic feeling amongst all present. The vibrant dance performance won all the hearts. The little stars amazed everyone with their confidence and charm.
It was all in all a memorable occasion for all.
