“Haathi Ghoda Palki, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki”
Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of lord Vishnu. He was born on the earth with a special purpose of freeing it from the evil clasp. To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at K.R Mangalam World school Paschim Vihar by the tiny-tots of Nursery and K.G classes on 17 August 2022 with mirth and joy. Dressed up as Radha and Krishna, the cute little ones added a traditional touch to the entire celebration. To spread the awareness about this great religious festival, a movie based on the mythological stories on Krishna, Radha and Kansa was showed to the children. Beautiful tableau was presented in the school premises and the image of Krishna’s outset was placed in a cradle. Fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of burning camphor and jingle of the bells filled the air with devotion and happiness.
A special day out was organized for the children and they were taken to the temple. Our Little Mangalites did parikrama of the temple and were excited to see the beautiful decorations. They keenly observed the scenes displayed there depicting Lord Krishna’s life. Hare Rama, Hare Krishna was chanted by the children with zeal and enthusiasm. The educational excursion was a great learning experience for the little once.
The event concluded with a strong message i.e. “Victory of good over evil”
