LET’S SALUTE THE NATION ON REPUBLIC DAY”
Republic Day is celebrated on January 26 every year to remember the day when the constitution of India came into effect. The pandemic has confined students to their homes but it cannot dampen their patriotic spirit and pride for the nation. K.R. Mangalam World School Paschim Vihar celebrated 72nd Republic Day on a virtual platform on 25 January 2021. A special assembly was conducted with the objective of instilling the love for their motherland and values of being good citizens. Children saluted the Tri-colour flag of India and sang the melodious patriotic songs along with their teachers. General discussion on the meaning and importance of constitution, unfurling of National flag was conducted. Teachers also explained the students about the parade to be held at India Gate every year through the related pictures and the videos. Children took part in Role play activity in which they were came dressed up as freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Rani Lakshmi Bai etc. and spoke few lines about the sacrifices of these great leaders. It was truly heartwarming to hear the little learners speak about our national heroes. The celebration concluded with the inspiring words of the teachers followed by the National Anthem .
