Festivals are the period of celebration and bring peace and joy for everyone. The festival prompts to be thankful for God’s provisions and to celebrate his creations.Lohri is a popular mid winter Punjabi folk festival, celebrated on 13 January of every year. Hindus traditionally light bonfires in their yards after the weeks of the rabi season cropping work, socializing around the fire, singing and dancing together as they mark the end of winter and the onset of longer days.
To make this event a memorable one, K.R. Mangalam World School ,PaschimVihar celebrated Lohri on 13January 2020 in the school premises. The day commemorated with immense joy , enthusiasm and magnificence. The tiny tots of Preschool and Pre primary came dressed up in ethnic attires.The children danced to the foot tapping Punjabi music to the fullest. The teachers explained the children about Lohri festival and enriched their knowledge.All the children enthusiastically participated in the Lohri celebrations.
Overall it was a fun filled day for the little ones. The students were overwhelmed and enjoyed the day.
