Math Week
‘Mathematics gives us hope that every problem has a solution’
In an effort to lay a strong foundation of mathematics subject, K.R.Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar organized a virtual Math Week for the little ones in the second week of December, 2021.
The purpose of the Math week was to teach the students about basic mathematics in a simple and playful manner. The plethora of virtual activities was planned by the teachers for the students during the week. The Nursery students were involved in various fun filled activities like picture – number sorting activity, shape stamping activity, quantification of numbers using ice cream sticks during their online classes. KG students participated in Mental Math quiz which challenged their reasoning and creative thinking skills. Students also had an interesting virtual kitchenette activity in which they engaged themselves in preparing sandwiches using different shapes like triangle, square, oval, etc. The week ended with number games which were thoroughly enjoyed by the students in their virtual classrooms .
The week long activities enhanced the thinking and math problem solving skills of the young ones .The Math week was a success in intriguing the students about the exciting world of Mathematics.
