PARENTS’ ORIENTATION PROGRAMME 2021-22
“The foundation for good parent teacher relationship is, frequent and open communication, mutual respect and a clear understanding of what is best for each individual child.”
Keeping this in mind, K.R.Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar organized a Virtual Orientation Programme 2021-22 for the Nursery parents with a goal to ensure a positive atmosphere for learning as well as building up the healthy relationship between the parents, teachers and students.
The orientation began with the lightning of lamp, blessings of the almighty, a special prayer done by teacher, followed by welcome of parents in three different languages, Ganesh Vandana , a welcome song sung by the music teacher in her melodious voice and a foot tapping dance performance by our little one.
The Principal Ms. Priya Arora enlightened the gathering by her inspirational speech and emphasized on the strong connect between the school and the parents. She introduced the faculty at Paschim Vihar including all the teachers and the Pre-Primary coordinator. Ms. Ramnik Kaur, the Pre-Primary coordinator familiarizes the parents with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities. The Parents were given an insight of virtual teaching system, online achievements and activities at KRM through a PowerPoint presentation.
The speaker for the day Ms. Shikha Gupta Vijhani , an eminent and renowned counseling psychologist , gave tips on how to nurture a child with love and care to build a strong foundation. She also emphasized on giving a disciplined environment, opportunities, and responsibilities to children so that they can deal the situation in a positive manner. She urged the parents ‘to work with the child rather than working on the child’ and be role model for their kids. The parents were satisfied and appreciated the valuable tips of the speaker.
The orientation programme proved to be a sincere effort made by the school in educating the parents to look after and guide their children in a proper manner.
